Give it a miss and head to the ship Inn just down the road.Rude assistant manager. Tried to charge for a quarter glass of orange juice. Shut side door in our face. When we asked about food "only allowed food outside if we cook it ourselves".Generally terrible attitude.Lovely view though. Get a better one at the ship.

Been in the village a year now and so disappointed with this pub. It has so much potential that isn’t utilised. It’s such a beautiful location but the food is terrible. We went in the first week we moved here and while we were eating the landlord was bragging to another customer how good the food was and my partner and I were like “seriously?”. I think some of it is ding food. Ordered the pesto pasta once and it’s basically plain. If the food was nice it would be a fantastic place. Such a shame.Just updating this review as my partner went out for dinner with a friend at the Swan last night and the food made him very sick. He said that they had complained about one dish to the staff because it was inedible but they refused to refund it because he’d eaten some of it!

Dinner here missed the mark this evening but a few small improvements would make a big difference. A bit of background music would add to the atmosphere and a few more seasonal vegetables on the side of the plate would improve the dishes, which are a tad overpriced.

Absolutely awful from the moment we set foot in the place. The place was freezing, the service atrocious, the food was luke warm, bland and over priced and the drinks when we finally got some were awful. We came, we tried but we'll never return! One star is generous but I couldn't give a zero.

Came for Mother’s Day arrived at 12,15 for the first sitting, the owner was lovely and welcoming but the rest of the staff could do with a lesson in etiquette. We ordered our roasts, they had no vegetarian options or chicken and this was 12,15! We ordered a pork roast, to which they had no apple sauce. The food was lovely but the service and helpfulness really let the whole place down, the floor was dirty with food from last night squished in and the toilets bins were full and overflowing. Also fire exit was padlocked shut so if a fire or emergency was to happen we’d be screwed. I wouldn’t recommend

Stayed for one night. Really nice place. Food was lovely. Breakfast outstanding. Staff really friendly and helpful

Really nice place. Food was good, I feel personally it was quite pricey for what actually came out in terms of both quality and amount. Interior was nice, it was clean and tidy, the staff were friendly and attentive. I did not get around to visiting to facilities so unable to comment.

Went for breakfast yesterday morning and it was delicious! There were 2 staff members in the restaurant. It was quite busy and usually it would be concerning if they would be able to keep up - but they were so attentive and really on top of everything! The girl was really apologetic for the wait - but in our opinion there was no wait at all. The food was really good and would definitely be back again! The 2 staff members in the restaurant yesterday are a credit to the pub!

Stayed here for our anniversary weekend. Excellent value. The room was spotless, bed extremely comfortable, shower temperature hot and lovely view of the river and balcony seating. Room can get a little warm but there was a huge fan and French window so easy to regulate this. Staff were very friendly. Check-in and out easy. Plenty of tea/coffee sachets in room (unlike some places) and fresh milk not until which was so much nicer. Food was lovely. We had dinner one night and breakfast both days. All parts of the breakfast were good, nothing to let it down and the chef knows how to poach an egg and make a good hollandaise. Would definitely recommend.
