What a lovely place! Nice welcome, great service and the food was excellent. Starters at our table we had the pig cheeks and garlic and chilli prawns with chorizo. Main courses Steak and the cod with lentils. I didn't have desert but others did and cheeses were nice and the brownie went down very quickly. Thoroughly recommend.

Great meal, lovely staff. However be aware that on the menu a £28.00 sharing platter.Sunday lunch actually costs £56.00 as you are charged £28.00 for each person. So although you think you're paying £28.00 for a main for 2 you are actually paying £56.00 which seems a bit steep when you could by 2 Sunday roast lunches for £36.00.Too late of course once you've eaten it and the present the bill for £90for two Sunday roasts two pudding 1 beer 1 coffee.

Great food with fantastic service. The Wellington sharing plate went down very well! The paella was more of a risotto and could do with a bit more flavour but was very fresh. Chocolate mousse pudding was a proper mousse with apt accompaniments. Worth a visit.

We went with 6 of us and had starters and a main each which including 2 rounds of drink came to £60 a head. For the quality of food which was one of the best roasts I have had in a long time is not bad at all.

Really tasty pub lunch food, good sized portions and tasty, excellent service too. Maybe it was an early winters day but a little quiet so not much atmosphere when we were there.

Nice pub, not very busy. We sat outside to have our lunch. Food came reasonably quickly and my hake was very tasty. My friend had the risotto, which she said was very nice and fresh tasting. A little disappointed with dessert, we ordered Saffron ice cream with a brandy snap. We got vanilla with two tiny flat chocolate bits. If they had run out of the ice cream the kitchen should've let the waitress know. It was very pleasant but not what we were expecting.

Good Sunday roast. Very quiet restaurant with outstanding service. The puddings were top level.

Best food in the area hands down. Extremely happy with our experience at the white pheasant - upscale gastropub type atmosphere (though it’s all restaurant tables), with friendly, welcoming service. The food was faultless and we knew we were in for a treat after the home made bread and amuse bouche were completely on point. The food is inventive and delicious, with the monkfish tail dish being a particular highlight. No one had a bad word to say about any dishes and we will definitely be back. This would compete with most of the highly rated restaurants in London no doubt. £170 for 5 people (c.2 or 3 courses pp) including 1 bottle of wine and a couple of other drinks - an absolute bargain. Highly recommend
