Went out on a weekend here and I felt like I was gonna get my head kicked in wouldn't recommend

Live music on a Sunday. Great beer and a proper pub atmosphere. I've always drunk here and I hope I always will.My local is the best. Understanding bar staff, punk and a supply of plastic bags when you need them.Extraneous needs coped with. My daughter always feels safe. That's important.

Personally my experience was a banger, drinks mixed nicely and pints poured the way they should be, handled well by welcoming staff.Me, my girlfriend, her sister and colleague were all sat comfortably at a table close to the bar, the music set the mood as we had our beverages.Top knotch

Popped in for a drink and was pleasantly surprised. It's a lovely place to meet friends x

Good variety of ales from the pump large garden smoking area

Fairly busy town pub where interesting ales / ciders may be found. Cheerful staff. Steps up from the street a little steep.Outside seating available. Sometimes loud in evening.

Not a bad pub but called in there just after 11 o'clock on a Friday and said they had called last orders. Clearly states on Google that they are open until 1.30 am on both Friday and Saturday nights. Too late to get back into anywhere else. Disappointed.

Complete lack of professionalism on door staffs part on Saturday 11th September, fight broke out spilling into the street and door staff stood and watched. Numerous cars on the street were bumped into and when challenged on their lack of intervention the response was "we're not responsible for anything that happens outside" members of the public asked them to intervene and door staff not only refused to comment but wouldn't even acknowledge they were being spoken to, when asked what company they worked for they refused to answer. On top of everything else door staff allowed people to spill out into the roads with drinks in hand and drink and smoke in the middle of the road. Would leave a zero star if possible.

Lovely dog friendly pub - our dogs were given a very warm welcome - including a plate of treats. Relaxed atmosphere

Hidden Gem great staff and food. Don't judge a book by its cover. I had a great sausage and mash lunch and a cappuccino as good as any chain coffee shop. And the staff are friendly and knowledgeable on vegetarian issues. Throughly recommended. When I'm next in the area I'll be visiting again.
