Booked mothers day lunch for family of 4. Great food and atmosphere, will definitely go again this year. Very reasonably priced too.

We had a lovely lunch at the Baker Arms. Warm welcome, tasty meals, checked if we needed more drinks, very attentive. Managed to squeeze in dessert, also delicious! Really enjoyed our visit. Thank you!

What a little gem of a place! Stunning building and the new owners are really friendly and keen. The Sunday roast is by far and away the best anywhere around Hertford, and nice desert too.

Was driving past and called to asked if they did lunch. So glad we did. We both had the fish and chip, fish was super fresh and in the best batter I've ever had. Owners where so friendly and inviting. Couldn't fault it 10 out of 10. Will defiantly be returning.Thank you for having us Baker Arms.

Beef and pork traditional Sunday lunch in a traditional village pub.3 of us agreed that this is one pub that will be a regular Sunday dining favourite.A fantastic plate of beautiful home cooking .Food was brought to the table by the land Lord whose impeccable service was above 5 star.Thank you and see you again soon.

We had a great Sunday roast last week, the beef and pork were excellent, along with all the trimmings. Martin and Bev are great hosts and made us all feel very welcome. A further mid-week visit was equally enjoyable, extensive lunch menu containing hearty food and excellent value for money.

We had a great stay at the pub. Martin was welcoming and keen to make sure we had everything we needed. The room was nice and quiet and there was plenty of choice for breakfast (including veggie options).

Beer was good ,we didn't book a table has we'd been walking ,was made to feel like they were doing us a favour "fitting us in " the food was OK but I had the chicken burger and fries( very small meal) it was over £10 and not worth it really if there had been another place near we'd have left

Waited a long time for a fresh baked baguette with cheese.2 coffees in it arrived. A part baked baguette finished in the oven with some cheese and a small side salad.£5,25.It was a Saturday lunch time and extremely quiet, so I am not sure why it took so long. Nor do I feel it was value for money.

Went for our second visit in less than a month today.Superb service, welcome and food. Once the staff new of my food sensitivities the ingredients were checked for me to make sure my choices were safe. The necessary Social Distancing rules were so discreetly and politely explained to us and our son they were not rules at all! We felt safe but not patronised, not an easy thing to do in these times. We have recently moved our business to Bayford and had recommended the B and B to an engineer. He was very pleased and so were we! Will definitely be recommending and using both the restaurant and B and B again.
