We love to visit Hanna and her team whenever we are in town for delicious sandwiches and cakes. It's been mum's favourite cafe since they opened. We recently engaged them for outside catering - a range of sandwiches, quiches, cakes and scones - all of which were fresh, tasty and beautifully presented, and very reasonably priced. Hanna thought of everything from dietary needs to how to set up and serve in a venue neither of us knew well, and made sure the place was left spotless. She took all the stress out of a difficult day.Of particular mention has to be her lemon drizzle cake - always my mum's favourite and now mine too. Thanks Hanna and the team at Cafe Thyme 😀

My compliments to the owner and the staff of this lovely and friendly cafe.I'm becoming a regular Sunday customer :-) Very happy to recommend this place to anyone. Good food, friendly atmosphere and with present restrictions in place, spotlessly clean, I felt really safe and looked after. Keep up your amazing work Hanna , you have my full support xx.

I am never disappointed when I come here to eat. Fantastic afternoon tea. Really good value for money and comes with a doggy bag so you can take everything you don’t eat home. Would highly recommend this afternoon tea. One of the best I have ever had.

Nice food and helpful staff.. Lovely little spot to sit and chill outside. Unfortunately a big let down is it's "cash only". In these times, card payments should be a standard thing. Why would somewhere me cash only? Tax maybe...

Great service and lovely atmosphere Hannah is so friendly and welcoming behind the counter even though she is making a million order at once. The rest of the staff are so friendly and always ensure you are satisfied. The food is always amazing and tastes delicious, as well as the drinks. The food is so well presented and they will always adapt an option on the menu if you asked. Overall a lovely business and such a lovely and kind owner would recommend 100% to all.

Would rather starve!Have been here a few times but wont go again, although the food is nice the owner or the lady who makes the food is horrible, the last 3 times i have been, she has looked me up & down, talks to me in a way that i feel so small whilst i am waiting. They charge £4.50 for a simple sandwich with no salad on the side. I would happily pay if i got the service as well! There is no smiles just sly attitude, the other staff are pleasant but the lady who makes the food is horrible, i would rather starve than be made to feel i have by the lady. I will be taking my money elsewhere & support / recommend a business that provides good food & service & doesn't make me feel like i do in Cafe Thyme

Good, punctual table service on the terrace. The server was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and tea selection. The cafe was clean and well maintained. The outdoor seating area is generally quiet, but expect a steady flow of shoppers between Jackson Square and the high street.

I took away coffee, and it was rather tasty. But, I made an obvious mistake and took a sit to drink that coffee. In 5 minutes, the lady came to me and not very nicely asked me to leave the place, because "Normally, if u take off, so take it off". Guys, there were 70% of the place empty , not busy time. So, don't make the same mistake, just take off. Merry Christmas!

Lovely little coffee shop to stop for a light lunch or refreshment while shopping in Bishop's Stortford. Friendly staff. Quiet corner. Tables in the terrace.

I am sure those who have complained about this cafe wouldn't have been satisfied if their meal had been served on a golden platter by a talking unicorn! You can't satisfy some people, this cafe is the best in town. The staff are very helpful they always hold the door open so I can get my wheelchair in,greet us in a friendly manner and serve us promptly. The food is wonderful and the servings are generous to say the least. Altogether a pleasent place to visit.
