Casa Lua in East Hertfordshire

Brilliant food and great atmosphere. Almost like being back in Spain! Don’t miss out on the poached pear for dessert…

We have visited Casa Lua over many years and have always enjoyed ourselves. However on this occasion we were disappointed with the quality of the food. The white bean casserole was undercooked and tasteless. The chicken thighs were well cooked but bland. The Patatas Bravas were hot but just had a spoon of tomato sauce on top, with limited flavour. The bread was pretty dry and did not come with oil or other condiments. However, the chicken livers were delicious and the garlic mushrooms very hot and tasty. Hopefully a little more effort in cooking and flavouring the dishes as this is one of our favourite venues!

Lovely authentic local tapas, highly recommended for a cosy meal for two, or friends get together. Book early / in advance!

Great place. We will definitely visit again. Food was delicious, red wine was tasty and staff was lovely.

This is the best meal we have had in a long time. Food and service was impeccable. We will be back and bring friends next time. It is very small and we had a bar table which was very comfortable.

Just to make you aware, supported this restaurant during the pandemic, so thought we’d order another takeaway, as the website still advertises this service, only to be told by the rudest women that we no longer offer this service, I said thats a shame we’ve just picked a lovely meal for this evening, to be told and I quote “tell me, what do you want me to do about it”Never again will I set foot inside this establishment. Remember the hard times you had and the support you were given. Very short memories and all about the money again, wishing you all the very worst of luck !!As you can see, I had to give one star as you can’t give a minus or a zero score.

Absolutely stunning table of food. Amazing chef! Book in advance and try the patatas bravas, the chorizo and the ribs.

Visited for afternoon lunch, staff were very accommodating when I booked a table an hour before attending. Food arrived very promptly and was very tasty, will definitely be returning
