China City in East Hertfordshire

I love this place. No internet presence, no delivery service, no ability to use card. Reminds me of life in the 90s. In a sense it defies all business sense in the 2020s and yet thrives by doing what it purports to do best and that is make Chinese food available at great prices and keeps people coming back for more. Will probably still be standing when other business go under during these topsy-turvy times.

First time back in 2 years and the food is still as good 😀

I have *never* come across a Chinese which is so consistently exceptional. Every single dish is bang on, even their chips (you think oh how good can chips get) are fantastic.Can’t recommend this place highly enough, I travel from Harlow to collect simply because it is head and shoulders above all options in Harlow

My wife and I had a takeaway from here this evening based upon the reviews we read on here. I can honestly say our food was absolutely superb! Really good quality and generous portions. Very busy so I'd advise you to order early to avoid a long wait. The lady taking our order was very polite and helpful in advising us on our choices. We are visiting from Lincoln. I only wish we had a Chinese takeaway as good as this in Lincoln. Highly recommended 🙂

Tried it out on the way home the other night and it’s by far the best Chinese takeaway in Stortford I have had. With apron road car park being a 10 second walk away it makes it really convenient to collect from.

Fantastic Chinese in Bishop's Stortford!! Very popular - phone through as early as possible. The staff are super friendly, the food is delicious and the portions are huge for the price. This will always be my go to now!

This is our go to Chinese, the food is delicious and always hot. Lots to choose from too.The woman who owns it is so lovely. I think it is cash only, not a problem as there is a cash machine down the road.

Lovely food and very welcoming. Staff are friendly and your food is ready quick. Can get very busy shows it's a great place. Very reasonable on price will definitely recommend China city. 👍👍👍
