Costa Coffee in East Hertfordshire

Friendly but a little chaotic service and overrun with buggies but if you just need a takeaway coffee then it's great - as long as you accept the 15 minute wait for your drink,!

15 minute wait for coffee, staff then did it in takeaway cup accidentally. Before I had a chance to stop them they had thrown my flatwhite into a mug, rendering it a latte. Not busy at time and 3 members of staff working, so unsure why the wait or the shoddy service. I never normally sit in with my coffee and never normally come to this Costa. And that's the way it will stay 👎

Coffee shop is one of the newer ones in Hertford. Coffee is fine and service quite quick . Tables cleared reasonable quickly

Welcome to the worst Costa in the UK.Always a dreadful experience where a coffee seems to take an age to get. We have been there when they’ve had no milk, no card payments, no coffee beans, and no staff.The latest debacle was a really rude member of staff pointing at a person standing in the queue stating they were the last to be served - leaving those behind questioning why, given it was only 16:30 and it was supposed to be open until 17:00. She exclaimed loudly she was the only person working (she wasn’t) and therefore wanted to shut early. This was a Saturday afternoon in early June and people had been in the queue for 10 minutes already.Dreadful service - we will never return. The staff are woefully incompetent - they panic over an order of more than one coffee at a time. Heavens forbid they were to work at a shop in London or somewhere similar, they would capitulate under the pressure.I will never use a Costa again thanks to this pitiful excuse for a shop. Good work Costa.

Arrived to meet friends for a coffee to be told sorry we are closing at 16.15? It says on the door open till 17.30. Lady explained it’s due to staff shortages. Very disappointing. I believe this has been going on for some time now speaking to others?!

Management really need to sort out this coffee shop! It’s regularly understaffed and the staff they have are incompetent! Always a long queue and frequent problems such as the dishwasher not working and one morning last week they had no coffee beans! Not good enough

Long long wait for service only two ladies serving coffee not hot when served Dirty tray and teaspoons had to refuse them so they changed the spoons Won't be going back this was the second time we went there and service just as bad as the first time.They need help two people not enough .Let's Costa down .

Nice little Costa, as usual just what you'd expect. Indoor and outdoor seating, the usual good standard of food and drink yesterday. Service was mediocre but it looked to me like they were training new people so I think given time that will probably improve. Situated in a small retail park with parking (although it was very busy for a Wednesday at 2pm)

Costa Coffee Hertford is very nice plenty of light coming into the Costa Coffee. Good place to meet friends or family or just to get away and have a read or just relax and unwind.Staff very friendly and good service.It is located on a site in Hertford where there is a Matalan, Pets at home, Wickes, Merjestic Wine and then the Costa Coffee.Parking is 2 Hours free parking but there are parking rules are displayed on the signs located around the car park and as you enter the car park there are 2 cameras one as you drive in so it knows when you got there and one as you drive out so it knows when you have left but you can only stay the maximum hours that is displayed and stated on the parking signs.

Had a really nice hot chocolate here but didnt have the original drink i wanted so only gave 3 stars for that reason
