Mountbatten - The Viceroy's Lounge in East Hertfordshire

Ordered biriani, worst biriani I’ve ever had, it didn’t even taste of it, It was just tomato and rice. No flavour, no spice to it at all! The rice hasn’t even been washed as it was so sticky and half of my tub was filled with oil

After many good take aways we decided to to eat in house. Arrived at 6.15, 7.10 still waiting for food ,people on the table next to us had been there longer, still waiting too. No server notified us of delay, when we finally asked we were told the kitchen was busy. Loads of people waiting for take outs, some had been waiting for an hour. We paid for our drinks and left. No apologies, really not good enough, very disappointed 😞

Food was nice but was an hour late and then things were missing they rectified it but we had ate the rest of the meal before it arrived not impressed

Incredible takeaway quality! Fast service, good prices, but most importantly we were blown away by the quality of every single dish we ordered.The naan was fluffy and fresh, the curries were vibrant and flavourful.We’ve tried a few different places for takeaway curry in town, and while many are good, there usually one or two dishes that turn out mediocre. The Mountbatten delivers exceptional quality on every single dish!

The food from here is great, but I really wish the chefs would stop using so much unnecessary oil/ghee, as it really spoils the otherwise really tasty flavourful dishes.We order every week, but are always slightly disappointed when we have to tip some of the dishes away when getting rid of the excess oil.

Hands down the best Indian food I've ever eaten! The chefs signature dishes are beautiful, cooked with so much care and love. Service (even for takeaway) was wonderful and friendly, and I cannot wait to enjoy Mountbatten over and over again!
