No 1 Thai in East Hertfordshire

The food is always great and the staff are friendly. We have a Thai were we live but prefer to drive to this restaurant as the food is good. If you want to drink alcohol you need to take it. Glasses are provided and you can buy soft drinks.

Lovely little authentic Thai restaurant.The actual restaurant is quite small with only a few tables.We opted for takeaways and I thought everything was delicious - the pad Thai, massuman curry and prawn crackers.The portions were just right.They use to do BYO and lunch time seatings but unfortunately they don’t do lunches anymore (not sure about BYO beer & wine)

Small and quaint Thai restaurant where you take your own drinks which lowers the cost for an evening out.The staff, service and food are all excellent.My last visit was supposed to be a quiet midweek meal with my partner, her sister and husband on my 60th birthday oh how wrong I was. When I entered the restaurant it seemed empty then from behind the partition a crowd of my family members appeared.From what I can remember after consuming several bottles of beer and wine it was a great night; the food was good too!Thank you to Oun who works in the kitchen for her help in organising this surprise private event x

Sorry but the takeaway was terrible. Beef Massaman had more oil than beef and the beef was very very dry. The beef had obviously been cooked separate and then dumped in the sauce. All other dishes were dry, bland or tough. Never again.

I had previously left a 5 star review, but since then No1 Thai Cafe have outdone themselves and deserve a 6 star review!! I messaged them to confirm they were open during lockdown as I wanted to collect for my girlfriends birthday. Due to the occasion, the guys offered to deliver even though we are well outside their delivery range. Such a kind gesture.No1 Thai have been our favourite Thai place to eat for a few years now and it keeps getting better!Thanks again guys!

Having recently re-opened, this place continues to provide great food and in a safe environment... what is impressive, is the quality of the food. Do not be tempted to size up... we had 3 simple starters and then a couple of main courses and some Jasmine rice, perfect on all fronts and just about the right size... (we left a little rice and noodles... 🤭). Cannot wait for the place to open once we are clear of CV19.Guys - well done once again!
