We have been a couple of times to try and pick fruit/veg but never been successful. I think due to timings on our part. The shop is lovely and a good stock of veg/fruit and typical local farm shop produce. A large number of items are from Simmons bakery as well as more high end high street processed goods.Great drinks selection for specialty gins, fizzy fentimens and Belvoir juice etc.It is a little on the high end cost but a nice trip to end with food in the cafe restaurant. Staff are always very nice and the food is good but limited for vegetarian, as with many places.Overall, a nice trip but I will likely only return every year or so to try and pick fruit....and end up in the cafe again.

Lovely location, great views, lots of interesting farm shop staples in the pretty shop. Good parking. My main meal was a pie that unfortunately had that tell tell impossible to cut through dried out crust that comes from being microwaved to reheat. My friend has been three times though, and enjoyed their meal every time. And my dessert was nice.

Very pleasant venue and varied items to shop for. Traditional butchers as well as good range of grocery and greengrocers. Really enjoyed the restaurant with a varied menu. 4 people chose 3 types of meals and all were very good.

Haven't been for a while but popped in for a quick lunch on the way home. Disappointed to find that the cafe menu has changed and they no longer do sandwiches or very much for a light lunch. Seems it's trying to go upmarket and restauranty. The quality of food is still excellent but we won't be dropping in for a quick lunch again.

This is one of our favourite places to visit, either to shop or to eat. The cafe is excellent and has lovely views over the wonderful Hertfordshire countryside! We have recently moved into the area and we are so glad that this gem is so close to us. We would recommend this venue to anybody who is looking for a nice rurally based experience.

Excellent smashed pea, chilli and poached eggs on sourdough. Staff friendly and attentive. Lovely atmosphere and super clean. We regularly visit and have done for the past 10 years. Would fully recommend this Cafe. Look forward to our next visit. Thank you 😊

We visited for lunch last week. Although I had a small issue and had to return my meal it was very quickly resolved. The staff and management staff were very polite and friendly. All our meals were excellent and great value for money. I highly recommend this charming place. We plan to visit again very soon.

Lovely for strawberry picking (if season). The cafe is great, service very friendly and the view is amazing and very relaxing. Food is delicious and on the way out you can pick up some bits from the farm shop. Worth every visit! Highly recommend!

Lovely staff, amazing stock and some really niche products. Such a wonderful addition to the county. The pick your own Strawberry & Raspberry plots were bursting with gorgeous fruit.
