We celebrated my daughters 21st birthday at the Plume last night in the pub garden. Fabulous service from Thomas, Quinn and the team. Thanks so much for providing fabulous facilities and great service.

***Edit:*** the aim of our visit was to enquire about holding a small family event here over the summer, and all the staff we spoke to were hugely encouraging when they heard what we were planning. It's a shame that the General Manager couldn't even be bothered to talk to me to find out what we had in mind before instructing another member of staff to call me and inform me he wouldn't let us use the pub. I don't think this is a fair reflection of the experience you would get there on a day-to-day basis, but it has made me rethink my impressions of the Plume as a friendly village pub - we are much less likely to return or recommend as a result.Original review: Lovely place, great staff, a decent range of drinks and a delicious-looking menu (although the kitchen did seem to open and shut at odd times). The beer garden is STUNNING, and dogs are welcome in the bar area - very welcome by both staff and customers in our experience! Our little dog had a lovely time, as did we. Couldn't ask for more :)

Went to the Feathers for the first time today for lunch. A really lovely pub. Staff were excellent. Prices very good especially considering how much many places have put prices up recently. I had the Cod And Chips. The fish was huge, lovely crispy batter. Great chips. Was absolutely stuffed after. My wife had Lasagne which was equally as good. An all round great lunch. Will certainly be coming back.

I went to the plume of feathers for lunch today, and I was so pleased with the service. We were greeted with a smile, the food came out quickly, and the chef even accommodated us by making a sandwich despite their current reduced menu. Hats off to the chef! 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Had a stunning Sunday roast lamb with all the trimmings! And cheese and bacon burger which was high, was visiting the area, they kindly squeezed us in on a busy late Sunday and couldn’t be more helpful and friendly! Food was amazing and plates were full, so was I by the end of the meal! Lovely pleasant place for a meal! Thanks so much!

Real shame we were not told that the menu was heavily restricted today when booking the table. Luckily we all managed to find something, and to be fair the food was good. Perhaps it was because of the big party booking?

Shockingly bad food. I had a steak, asked for medium, it came out burnt on outside rare in the middle and was still chewy!!!! Jacket potato was the size of a small white potato, the crust on the pie was hard and i inedible, staff were nice, pub is lovely but would never eat here again …….

Beautiful restaurant and great service. All staff are very polite. We visited with 2 toddlers and the huge garden space was a great, safe place for them to run around in. The small playground area was also a big hit with them. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Lovely views and tasty food, highly recommend and we will be visiting again soon.

Fantastic service and a lovely roast dinner (though I had hunters chicken). The waitress was lovely and bubbly, whilst the food itself was fresh, hot and very tasty.
