Ruby in East Hertfordshire

Outstanding experience, our boys had their 4th birthday and wanted to go out for a curry to celebrate. The staff were absolutely fantastic, helping to make 'squash' type drinks and choosing some starters they might like. The food was absolutely amazing as usual. The staff and duty manager were so helpful and cheery, it made the evening a delight. Thank you for having us sorry about the table cloths :)

Arrived Saturday evening at around 7pm, Hadn't booked as it was quite early, made a fuss of us not booking but eventually went upstairs which was empty! Chicken was not at all tender and the sauce was quite watery, had much better takeways. My mate gave me some of his lamb which was just stringy gristle. Don't understand all of the 5 star reviews.

I've always been a big fan of the Ruby however what's become apparent recently is the reduced meat content of the dishes? Comparing dishes I've had in the past there is definitely less chicken and more sauce. A real shame if this is a ploy to increase profits?

Best curry around and always friendly and helpful staff. Can't wait to go back!

I have 44yrs experience of eating Indian food and could not find any faults with what was served lovley and fresh

This curry house building and decor is of a higher than normal / standard Cury houses, but ultimately the experience is much much same with the same atmosphere. So while the curry was very nice the overall experience does not manage to justify the higher than usual (but not silly) pricing.

The usual one dimensional Bangladesh cooking. The food is no better than a Tesco ready meal and just as tasteless. The cuisine of India has so much more to offer than this. Try an authentic Indian restaurant and taste the difference. Pleasant and attentive service lifts it above one star.

The food here is really great and the staff are helpful with recommendations and very friendly. Highly recommend if you're in Hertford and craving an Indian

My partner and i came to this restaurant on an off chance they would have a table.We arrived at the restaurant and was greeted by Sam (i think) . We found out that during the pandemic this is prebooked but we where able to grab a seat.My partner loving spicy food and myself loving flavoursome food (non spicy) found this restaurant to cater to both.The service was wonderful, and the food was even better.There where a couple of groups in the dining room celebrating an occasion. Ruby's seems like a much loved establishment with passionate members of the team.Parking is easy as there is a car park just down the road.I can already tell you that we have been back again but for a take away this time.Portions are a perfect size to me.Thank you for having us in your establishment and providing us with wonderful care.Pictures are my potion sizes- there was more food left over in out kitchen

Interesting Indian restaurant. Nice decor and ambience. First impression is that the menu is quite expensive but the overall bill at the end of the night was very reasonable. Service was good and the food was excellent. Would definitely visit again.
