Sainsbury's Cafe in East Hertfordshire

Used to love to come here before starting our shopping on a Sunday morning,, but post Covid changes have unfortunately ruined the experience. Serving dry toast and then unapologetically telling you that you have to pay extra for butter really was the last straw.

Been several times and staff always chatting around the coffee machine, even when there's a queue. I can put up with that, but today at just after 2pm, after queuing for the chat to finish, I we told they're not serving the all day breakfast anymore, as kitchen is closing, despite being advertised as open till 4pm. After deliberating for a second we politely said we didn't want anything else, said thanks and went to leave.The lady behind the counter then looked massively put out and shouted "you better put them back", referring to some bottled unopened orange juices we'd left her on the counter. We did so and made a prompt exit, feeling like we'd just comitted a crime.I had to leave a review as I've never experienced customer service like it. I felt humiliated as she shouted a stream of backchat to us across the room with other customers watching. Absolutely no need. A simple please and thank you would have sufficed - basic manners as we afforded the staff.

Good for coffee and teas and has a good men u for food

Lovely surprise from Sainsbury's cafe. Good quality food, a little bit greasy but it turns out to be one of my favourite cafè in Harlow. Lovely for how much you pay and the food is so fresh it's practically just come off the shelf. Nice little atmosphere and the staff are pleasant and a quick service. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommended.

Very slow service only one person taking the orders then having to sort out the drinks etc..food not to bad thou..

We used to come to the cafe regularly but last 2 visits it has been rather dirty, slow service and drinks are served in the wrong cups and only half full. Slightly disappointing as used to be nice.
