South Street Pantry in East Hertfordshire

Just had the loveliest Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea for Mother's Day. The food was delicious, the service impeccable, everyone friendly and helpful. You could not ask for a more friendly place, definitely recommend a visit.

Good place to visit for breakfast or lunch . Broccoli and stilton soup lovely and well seasoned. Could have benefited from a rustic roll instead of slice of bread .

We visited on a very rainy Tuesday early lunchtime in February and found Mrs B tea room when the picnic hut was closed and we needed to have a coffee and dry off and we noticed an empty table ! We had delicious home made soup and fresh tasty granary bread ! The owner is friendly and likes to sing and staff were friendly! X

Popped in for a bit of cake and was overall very pleased! It cost more than I expected but the service was quick, polite and friendly. The slice was large and the icing was delicious so very much worth the cost in the end!

Delicious pancakes and they have the loveliest courtyard/pub garden to sit in which is just perfect this time of year.

The cakes they serve are delicious, delectable and scrupulous, the food is amazing and that is the main factor for any food producer. But, I have to give 3 stars because there are a few issues. One, the shop is on a incline which makes some of the chairs very unconftable it sit on and they rock backwards. Two, there is not enough setting at busy times it is hard to get a seet which means you have to wait which is very annoying they might want to look into expanding.Three, the glasses of water are too small if you order water then you will get a small glass that is not enough. For those reasons I have to knock the 5 star good food down to a 3 star overall experience.

Fantastic!!! Good location. Great service! Amazing food!I was really impressed with how up front they are about the 1hr max per table so that they can cope with reduced seating during the social distancing era. Other places should implement this to keep the tables coming, its more than enough time to have lunch or tea and cake.We couldn't manage the epic cakes at that point so we had them to go and enjoyed them in the bath at the hotel we were staying in!!!

Ordered online for delivery 2x Breakfast in a box. Arrived on time, food was still hot and poached eggs still runny. Good high quality ingredients, would highly recommend.

We visited this restaurant today for a late lunch. I asked the nice waitress if there is any chicken sandwich, as it wasn't on the menu. She said I can have the coronation chicken sandwich. I must say it was the best I've ever had. Big portions with great fillings. My partner had the tomato and basil soup with caramel milkshake. The food here is really good, and the cakes look very delicious. We were too full to have cakes. I recommend this place.
