Just need to sort staff out. Can find tables. Food delivered to wrong place. Asked if we wanted anything asked for salt and vinegar never came. Mot trained under staffed kids with no clue what they are doing and most looked half asleep shame as lovely pub but no whole chicken is worth £20 with frozeun chips

Food was nice, but limited choice of real ale. Good service with nice friendly staff. Large car park and garden

Service is absolutely abysmal!Food was substandardWaited over 35 mins for a high chair25 mins after finishing our food our plate was still sitting in front of us so had to go to the bar to ask for the table to be clearedThen had to go to the bar to ask for the dessert menuTable was not wipedAsked for no vegetables with my meal meal was served with vegetablesTable was small and cramped in a corner despite the restaurant area being empty I was sat cramped into a corner with not enough room to pull my chair out to get to the bathroomI think the above tells you why it was empty on a Sunday lunch service wouldn’t recommend nor would I return

Disappointing! Went for a drink, the real ales were off, expensive, 2 drinks came to £11.25 and was pretty quiet. Used to be a great pub, live bands, great atmosphere and very busy even on a Friday night in winter!

Was going in for a quick drink, the atmosphere was decidedly icly, unfriendly staff and despite various empty tables was told they were fully booked. Only wanted a quick drink would've been less than half hour. Its a shame because it could be a really friendly pub.

Very nice pub, nice surroundings. One criticism with the roasts is they are quite expensive for the meat you actually get. The roast beef is 17 quid, and that’s for two slices of beef. The rest of the plate is very full, but with veg. Bit more meat, bit less veg would make the price a bit more accurate. Thanks!

Really good Sunday lunch with the family. Don't bother with a starter as you won't manage the main. Pork belly was the favorite and was huge! We sat outside under the awnings and heaters are in use. Dog friendly.

Originally hesitant about the prices but adjusting to the fact that everywhere has put their prices up since covid - we had the vegan burger and the cheese burger and we equally pleased with our choices! Am not a vegan, simply lactose intolerant - and I honestly felt like I was eating a normal cheeseburger. Delicious and well worth the money. A lovely large place with quick service, use of an app to order was slick and the place has a wonderful outdoor screen should you wish to watch sport. Definitely worth the trip as its a bit off the beaten track!

I visited the crown with 5 friends on Saturday night and booked 2 tables a week and half ago and confirmed booking, I also rang up to confirm Wednesday and was told it’s all booked and no problem. When we got their on Saturday night it was totally different, we was greeted out the front and told they only have 1 table and it’s been very busy all day. We then got escorted around the back and sat at the back with poor viewing of the big screen and people standing up, it was very overcrowded and the tables were close together with no social distancing at all.We ordered 3 rounds and waited 45 mins when I went and spoke to a member of staff who apologised and said it could be up to an hour and half wait, shortly after they brought out the 2nd round but we still didn’t have the first. We left at half time as the service was poor and it was too busy.Stay away from this place.

Lovely open air space, big enough to accommodate several people. The Sunday roast plate was huge, with a half chicken, several roast potatoes, chipotles and vegs. Unfortunately the chicken was undercooked making us wondering whether it was healthy to eat and the pudding (according to the taste) must have been cooked in burned (or old) oil. We had to book via the app but this was not a problem and the food arrived in less than 15 minutes despite the pub was full. All in all an ok place to go.
