Excellent service and outstanding food. The best chicken and mushroom pie ever... Would highly recommend this pub.

What a lovely little place this is. Staff very welcoming too, a bunch of us arrived on bikes unannounced and was not made to feel unwelcome or out of place at all. I would definitely recommend popping in if you are near by.

Such a friendly country pub. Fairly small but great in summer with lots of benches in the small(ish) beer garden. Great food and reasonably priced! Child and dog friendly. Great stop off on a country walk!

I visited the Fox yesterday for lunch with a group of motorbikers. All of us except 1 had block preordered our luch an hour earlier so when we arrived there was no delay with the food service which was excellent. The remaining order was taken as soon as we arrived and the food came out with the rest so we all got to eat together.The landlord took our drinks orders and brought them to us at a pace and all correct, in fact he remembered what some had ordered despite them forgetting, we are getting old 🙄The pub itself is a lovely old, rustic country pub with wooden beams etc. It's comfy and snug and I'd imagine a great focal point for the locals in the winter.The car park is of a readonable size and gravelled.There are sitting areads outside.The prices are reasonable and they don't appear to be trying to claw back CoVid losses with silly price increases.All in all an excellent pub and visit and I am sure the group and I will revisit again.Thank you.

Stopped in half way through a walk.The pub was just opening and had a group booked in which may have been why the welcome was a bit underwhelming.So we didn't eat, wasn't encouraged, just had coffee which I'm afraid were just ok (hot, wet and tasted of coffee) which was the minimum.Don't do this walk often and would try again (once more) to see if we just picked a bad day/time.

Went for a roast and the service was very good. Staff were attentive. The food was well cooked, it tasted good and it was home made. The portions are a good size, allowing space for dessert. We shared a dessert which was very nice as well. I would definitely return. We particularly loved how cosy the pub is, its nice a quiet and the fire place was lit. Its a lovely to place to have a meal and relax

We've just moved into the area and this pub is around the corner from us and very happy it is. Lovely place and great food. My wife made a mistake with her order and it was changed with no fuss at all. We will definitely be returning

Great atmosphere, beautiful food, and friendly staff!It was nice to sit out in the garden on a semi-sunny day and make the most of our British Summer.Absolutely nothing to complain about on our visit today. The portions were spot on, the food was properly cooked and well presented, and the times between courses weren't anything out of the ordinary.Will definitely return in the future and recommend to friends!
