The Hand & Crown in East Hertfordshire

We visited The Hand and Crown lunchtime today. Its a very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated pub. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The whole atmosphere is warm and welcoming too. The menu has something for everyone and is reasonably priced. The food was excellent- well presented and so tasty - and the portion size is huge! A bonus for us is that they don't just have alcohol free beer but alcohol free wines, Prosecco and spirits as well. Which for drivers and those who can't drink is such a lovely choice. We could not find fault all. Well worth a visit.

Excellent food. Fast, friendly service. Quiet location. All this at reasonable cost. Easy parking and choice of inside, outside or all-weather glass 'bubble'! Booking advisable at weekends.

Good food with friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. There is outdoor seating with Pods as well. Good choice on the menu with gastro pub standard dishes as well as things like seabass. The only reason that I am not giving 5 stars is because it is adults only as they do not cater for children.

A bit pricey , staff friendly and helpful .I had the smaller beef and ale pie which was, in my opinion, large enough for the healthiest appetite ... veg was a bit overcooked , gravy could have been a little thicker and needs a bit more depth of flavor but good amount of meat .I'd eat here again but try something else on the menu .

Very attentive staff and kept checking everything ok and even brought the wife a spoon for her main course because they recognised the she was struggling, she hadn't even asked. The meals were very substantial and well cooked and presented. Our first time visit and will definitely consider coming back again

One of my favourite places to eat. Amazing food. Amazing fish. I always order the same food every time we go as I enjoy it so much. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Always a busy restaurant advise to book in advance. But worth it! Well worth trying out

Had Friends Birthday Lunch today, and the great Service and lovely atmosphere, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. We didn't feel rushed, nor did we feel that service was slow. nice wide variety of food and it was really tasty. Highly recommend. and will definitely return.

Gorgeous little pub with lovely staff, I had the king prawn linguine and it was OK but way too watery so the pasta didn't get much flavour however the staff were exellent and took it off the bill and seemed genuinely upset about it. Oh and.......... BEST GARLIC BREAD EVER! Overall a nice place to eat and I would defiantly go back.

Back again at my favourite eatery. With Wifey and kiddo we tried a few new menu items this time and top marks as ever. Amazing how much kiddo can eat but the food was so nice. Will be back again very soon.
