The Retreat Restaurant @ Coltsfoot in East Hertfordshire

Thank you so much to the team at Coltsfoot who made our wedding reception so special. The venue is absolutely stunning and the food was delicious.

My Daughter and I stayed for a family wedding 24/5/22. What an amazing venue we throughly enjoyed ourselves. The apartments are self contained. Obv have been stable blocks but nicely done. (bed with settee n views, bathroom with towels, bath n shower and kitchette with hob. I wish i had taken some washing up soap n t towel for washing up cups/glasses.The breakfast was served to our room in the morning of the wedding - What a feast Bacon toll, fruit salad, croissant tea or coffee at 8.30am. The day after of the wedding served full English breakfast in the breakfast room at 9am..Delicious with high quality produce and expertly prepared..Only criticism I would add is there was no code in the room for the WiFi and code... Guest 2012 for the gate if your returning late. Perhaps it could go on the notice on the wall with the phone number. With the party in full swing I didnt like yo ask.However we did find these out later.There was a family party for the owners before on the first night and management kept us informed what was going on. Thank you we will deffinatly return and highly reccommend for a base or a break. The grounds are stunning. Sorry didnt get to see the alpaccas as was having a blast.XxX

Fabulous wedding venue, we stayed here for 2 nights with continental breakfast the first morning and full English breakfast for the following day, the staff were tremendous, friendly and attentive. Two night stay £300.

We stayed at the retreat for a wedding. We couldn't fault it. The room was superb with lovely views. The staff were all lovely and helpful. Breakfast was really good. Everything fresh. I really wish we had booked in for longer. It is a great venue for weddings.

A very big thank you to all the Coltsfoot staff for making my daughter and son in laws wedding last Saturday such an amazing and wonderful day. The venue looked stunning and the staff organised everything brilliantly. Lots of lovely food enjoyed by everyone with a delicious hog roast in the evening. We danced with a ceilidh and disco and then lots of family were able to stay over in the beautiful big bedrooms. Happy memories of a very joyous day.

We got married at Coltsfoot at the beginning of December and could not have asked for a better experience. Not only were the team amazing (especially our co-ordinator, Jess), the venue is absolutely stunning with so much care and love put into it from the owners.Coltsfoot were so accommodating with postponing our wedding & all the questions we had in the run up to the wedding. It's not just a wedding venue - it is so much more.We had the best day of our lives and cannot thank Coltsfoot enough!

We got married here in November and Coltsfoot (especially Jessica our wedding co-ordinator) were just an absolute pleasure to work with. Such a flexible and helpful venue, the day ran perfectly thanks to all of the staff. Food was also incredible - The best wedding food I have ever had. Thank you for making our day so special - We would recommend you to anyone!

Had our wedding at Coltsfoot on the bank holiday Sunday.So glad we chose there to get married! The venue was amazing on the day. Everyone loved their food, setting and the rooms. Lots of comments from guests of how great the venue looked.Staff were also very helpful during the entire planning process and on the day itself. Especially Jessica.The new huts, breakfast bar and amendments to the main room was great!Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a venue to get married at.
