Nice lunch! Staff very welcoming. The salad advertised with sandwiches and starters was just a small bit of leaf so a little disappointing, hence 4 stars

First time eating here for a while. The food was excellent, service was also top draw. Thank you to Frankie who looked after us

We had the best evening celebrating my mum and dad's 60th Diamond Wedding Anniversary. Great food great staff. The evening couldn't have gone any better. Everyone who joined in the celebrating had a lovely time. We can't thank 'Choppys' enough.

Had a meal here last night four my sons birthday the service was terrible had to keep trying too find some one too serve us the swordfish had no seasoning such a shame been eating here for years now wasn’t even busy but got to say for a £400.00 meal had better service at beefeater 😡

I can’t believe how this place isn’t rammed tonight! Such a great menu, that has you salivating and left with so much choice. The Beef Wellington was melt in your mouth and dare I say so much better than Gordon Ramsey’s Heddon St Kitchen. We’ll definitely be coming back, next time for the Choppy’s exclusive. The service was great too!

Very impressed. Friendly service and excellent home made food, with good range of veg options. Lentil and carrot burger highly recommended! Good prices too. One of the best options in the area.

·

An enjoyable lunch with friends. Menu was varied, however there was nothing available on the 'specials' board. Could have either wiped it clean or with a little thought could have used their imagination to provide one or two alternatives?

Went here with my family 6 adults.. The Resturan was busy only 2 lovely polite ladies working taking drinks/food orders and clearing tables - the mussels in white wine sauce was delicious paid by the kilo - lobster was £75 not cheap but bought as a treat (not something I would ever do in this country) but delicious .. everyone enjoyed their meals ..

One item stopped this being 5 stars. The toilets are in need of a refurb. Now on to the good stuff. From the outside it is a pub with parking to the side. Once you enter there lots of tables all in a nicely decorated setting. There is a terraced outside area with large sun umbrellas available and some garden space with some kids swings. The food menu is good perhaps even could be reduced by a few dishes but all 5 of us ordered different items and we all had empty plates. Food was really tasty. The build your own salad option is a good idea. Staff were lovely and whilst it was not busy they were attentive and helpful. Desserts again were tasty and they also have a specials board and if you like gin they have a fair few of those available. Coffee on the terrace after was good. Some people say this place is expensive and whilst it is not cheap, good food never is. Will definitely go again and now want to try breakfast also.
