I went Friday evening. Lovely place. Great atmosphere. Though it was busy, there were still good tables outside and inside too. Would love to go again on a hot summers evening to cool down by the river.Ordered for my friend burger with cheese and bacon and onion rings. And for myself the nachos. Given how busy it was, the food came out rather quick and was super tasty. Inside there is a table with 3 water tanks, lots of clean glasses to help yourself. Seems to be a dog friendly place.Had a great time! Will surely go there again.Bonus: garden heating lamps and plenty of sheltered tables outside, so you can go there no matter what the weather is like.

Walked in 23/4/22 looked lovely and inviting and the food looked amazing, unfortunately I did not get to try any of this as the man working behind the bar was extremely rude. I waited a while as there was a large group ordering, and only 2 people working behind the bar a man and young lady. More people started waiting at the bar and the man started serving them despite me being there first. The lady finished serving then went to serve me and the man said the lady in the stripes was first the lady behind the bar knew I was there first but looked intimidated by the man as I think she was new. With that I walked out never known someone to be so rude before they even have taken any money.

Refurbished and just lovely ... a great place to have food or meet up for a drink. We went for a Sunday roast but they had sold out so I enjoyed the pasta and the rest had the lamb shank. It has the best outside area right on the River Lea so when the sun shines it's the perfect place to be

Lovely decor and my meal (prawns and squid) was delicious but the baguette was a bit if a disappointment as the SFC was cold so the cheese wasn't melted, fries were lovely though. Our cups were also really filthy they were probably water marks from a dishwasher but it was very clear to see

Come here for the first time today for lunch. The pub is very nice inside and has a lovely outdoor terrace which is great in the summer. We had a 3 course set lunch menu. The food was expectional. I opted for the pork belly which melted in my mouth. The presentation of the food was spot on and the overall service was brilliant. I would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

We booked a large booking for a birthday, we were given a lovely area in the pub. The staff are all very polite and courteous - nothing is too much hassle for them. They called me on the day of the booking to confirm and allowed me to drop cake, balloons and banners before our booking, and had it all set up for us when we arrived at the time of our booking. The food was nice and fresh, staff polite and we would for sure be returning. They have a lovely outside space - the whole pub has been completely refurbished in late December 2021 - so everything about this place is great. Thanks for having us and making the occasion special.

The staff and food here are both great. Britney was so helpful with my daughters birthday, I could not have asked for more, friendly and attentive. The owner was so good too, bringing treats for the dogs and making sure everyone had what they needed.

A passing visit gave me a friendly welcome from ace staff, swift service and the lamb shank main was delicious, not fatty, really good. Located by a canal with seating on the waterfront side (hence the name). Well worth a visit. 5 stars from me.

Although the food was not bad when it arrived it was not helped by the 50 minute wait; although this could be down to it being a weekend lunch-time. It was not helped by the attitude of the bar man when asking about the wait time; the other staff were good though. However, if customers are going have to wait for over 20 minutes then maybe you should let them know in advance how long they will have to wait for. Would go back again if it was not for the long wait and attitude of the bar-man.

Popped in for some lunch mid-ride; staff were lovely, letting me keep my bike inside, refilling my water bottles etc. Food was very good, tasty and good portions and the right brands of sauces on offer (Heinz ketchup and Hellman's mayonnaise thanks for asking!) Kudos to the cellar manager too, the pint of Estrella I had was perfect!
