Great countryside location on the edge of Stevenage. It was a quiet lunch, midweek lunchtime, and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The food delicious, timely and reasonably priced.

Large but cosy and well presented pub. We were there for a family gathering with a buffet, which was very well organised by their events team. The staff were very helpful, everything ran smoothly and the food was excellent - and plentiful. Very impressed all round. My daughter bought me an excellent scotch with a very palatable peaty flavour from the bar and I think that was one from a good selection. On April tidal note, there is a large car park. All in all an excellent experience.

Had a really nice Sunday dinner here as we were traveling through, a pleasant surprise. Good pub grub, ample portions and friendly, attentive service.

The staff here are always friendly & helpful. The food is always amazing. It has everything from open fires to outdoor play space. Most needs are catered for & have lots of celebration events lined up. Love it here

1st time I've been here. Party of 9 for Christmas menu. Service good, staff were efficient and friendly. Food delicious. Covid rules adhered to by all so felt comfortable being there. Not rushed so able to chat and not feel just eat and go so to speak. Would happily go again even though not that local to where I live... 20 miles.

Just home from having lunch there and delighted with the meal. The Liver and Bacon on the Specials menu was excellent, all freshly cooked and delicious. The Belgian Waffle for pudding just right to finish. Good beer, good wine and excellent service. Thank you! All 7 plates on our table emptied!

Nice looking pub. Couldn't give the other stars as Christmas dinner wasn't as expected to be honest. Cranberry and brie starter was not what I thought and had lots of onions or aubergines inside. I don't eat neither so passed it to my mum. I thought it would be cranberry and brie only. The main came and it was a bit disappointing as well. Potatoes were mushy and black. Turkey was good. Stuffing was good as well. No Yorkshire pudding. Dessert was ok, but too sweet for my taste. Pub is beautiful inside though. The fireplace is great.

Visited the Three Horseshoes Christmas day for a party of 9.... was awful to be honest, 35 minutes for us to be seated after arrival , then receiving our starters over 45 minutes later. after this the main course was over an hour later, i was specially happy with my particularly course being the wrong main. To then receiving my actual meal with a hair in, one staff member did try her best to resolve but ultimately was not enough.Would i recommend going on Christmas day again? absolutely not stay at home and cook however, if going outside of Christmas period and if this pub was quieter could be a different experience.
