I have given this gastro pub five stars mainly due to the excellent service and the top quality food, we couldn't get a table until 8.30 due to it being very busy but after only a short while we were shown to our table in a side annex with just a few other tables (and a group of young ladies (allegedly) who were celebrating a birthday) but apart from losing my hearing (selectively) as i said the food and service were worth the pain. The girls managed to get louder and louder and used the 'F' word much more than Gordon Ramsey would have though possible and it want 'F'ood!!Good value for money, most customers had made an effort to dress up but i must be getting old!!!

Nice place. We eat out right on the back where is also the car park. The people nice e friendly. We only take the steak burger which was nice. The menu’s for lunchtime isn’t big but enough for me. Not much say as it was a quick lunch, just try.

Had valentines meal here, 3 course set menu had a good selection of dishes and included champagne and petit fours which I thought was good value. I had the beef fillet which was spot on. 4 stars because we had to sit so close to another couple, floor under the table was dirty and I had to ask for the candle on the table to be lit twice which was irritating.

For some reason I wasn't expecting much, given our experiences of other similar restaurants in this area. However, this was faultless; the food, the service, the menu choice were all excellent. To top it all, it was fairly priced. A huge recommend.

If you are looking for drunk violent men at 7pm then this is the place for you. We were with a family of 10 adults , one new born and four toddlers. Waitresses who don’t understand the meaning of the word hospitality and “loving a bit of a row “ who laughed at one of their customers being slapped by a drunk “customer”I always assumed that having a license to serve alcohol came with a responsibilityNot in this place. Removing a drunk abusive customer should have been his priorityPerhaps the owner should take his responsibility more seriously and hopefully he educates his staff better in the futureA pure lack of class

On par with some of the best 5* restaurants in central London. 3rd visit today. Highly recommend the tomahawk steak. Thank you again for making our 20yr wedding anniversary lunch memorable.

What a beautiful place, I loved everything about it, the decor inside and out, the paintings on the wall, the colour scheme, all gorgeousThe menu is really good, lots of different things to choose from so something for everyoneAll the food coming out looked so tasty, the Halloumi fries looked like a favourite. We ordered pie of the day and the quiche, both delicious and for dessert we had a special Gin and Tonic... Why not!!Lots of outdoor seating, with heaters but the inside was lovely too, can't wait to come back

Maltons styles itself as Ware's Finest Gastropub and Eatery, sadly it really didn't live up to that on our visit. The food was fine, it wasn't exceptional but they would have got away with it if the service was great. Sadly the service wasn't great, I mean no one was actually rude or anything but they were fairly disinterested. Maybe our faces didn't fit or they didn't take to my shirt, but there was a level of going through the motions in the service we received. So for us the Mortons experience was simply nothing like as good as they seem to think it should be and was overall very disappointing.
