One of the worst courses I’ve played. Must have a hose pipe ban on atm. Even when walking around I was noticing sprinkle heads covered with weeds, over grown grass. Signature hole was the only green to be maintained. Had 2 societies in front of a club county match… was told to speed up play and stop looking for balls if they go into the rough. Rude green staff employees. Most bunkers were GUR and hand no sand in, just rocks. See a lot of paying customers walking off after 5/6 holes. Would of been better playing on the M25. Would avoid at all cost.

Great course. Definitely improved since my last visit a couple of years ago. There are some beautiful holes, the 17th is a standout. Greens were in great shape. Its very open i.e not many trees and imagine when the wind is up the course becomes a lot harder. Decent brekky at the clubhouse too.

Play it this weekend and found it in excellent condition. Course was in great condition and the greens well maintained, but perhaps a little dry so hard to stop the ball on them. Found the course was challenging in many ways which made for a fun and enjoyable round. Prices were very reasonable when compared to other courses in the area.

Open link style course, and when the wind is up it makes the course more difficult.Bunkers hard but some have deep sided with wooden sleepers "wild"In the winter the course gets very muddyIn the summer the fairways & greens can get very hard.My advice play it from May to September you should be alright? The 8th a tackling 120 yard par 3 which is surrounded by water and when the wind blowing it's a great test of courage. The coloured flag system, Front, Middle, Back.Sadly no practise nets, putting green GUP, driving range, chipping green. No temp tee's or green in the winter

Played it this morning and have to say was in fantastic condition, only slightly muddy in some areas which for Feb is fantastic, drainage and greens really above what’s accepted for this time of year, good track, interesting lay out, 3/4 par 5s gettable in 2 friendly members and staff. I’m a member at Woolston and to be honest Blake’s much much better today versus Woolston for course condition and playability. Well done Guys, Superb 👍🏼👍🏼

Course was in absolutely dreadful condition. To their credit, we were told this in advance of our round on the day we arrived. However large parts of the course were completely unplayable.Fairways were incredibly muddy and even though relief was permitted, it was often difficult to find anywhere that was suitable to play a shot from.Granted we have had a lot of rain recently, however buggies and trolleys were still being allowed on the course which was just tearing it up even more.Although the conditions of the green were acceptable, they were very long and slow and needed to be cut further.Definitely not worth £26 each

The course was playing well after the rain that we've had with very few puddles on the fairways and rough. Most bunkers are in play with just a couple with water in them. Some greens have been cored which makes them bobbly though the majority of greens are running fast and true.I thought that the course was in very good condition for the time of year.

Played Blakes GC many times in 2020 and found the greens in pretty poor condition. However I played just recently and have noticed a lot of effort has gone to improving greens and the course in general and it shows.Much improved and going in a better direction!Hope it continues because I find this inland links course has variety, length and provides a good test for all golfers. My only complaint would be that the club should enforce Golf Attire Rules properly. Nobody wants to see Jeans & trainers. Proper Clothing and Etiquette makes for a more enjoyable round in keeping with the tradition of Golf⛳️

Last played here 3 years ago and it was pretty average. The golf course is in very good condition. The greens are great to putt on . Stay o the fairways because the rough is very dense. It would have been 5 stars if the clubhouse facilities were better. Nice breakfast.

Played here today in 25C sunshine as it has been all week yet the tee boxes were richly green and soft as gym mats. Greens were a bit firmer but in good condition for the weather.A couple of greens needed cutting though and this made judging pace a little tricky. Very nice inland links course well worth the visit especially for the Par 3 8th Island green which made me feel like I was at TPC Sawgrass Island green!!No pro shop here though.
