Excellent Fish and Chips shop in Chigwell. Good portions and great service with smile.

I usually don’t leave a review BUT what can I say. The chef is no.1! The Haddock was huge and I can barely finish it. The chips were nicely cooked and not greasy. Amazing homemade tartare sauce. Worth the 50p 100%%%. Will DEFINITELY be back as I work nearby at Barclays.

Excellent fast hassle free takeaway service, plenty of choice, the food was fresh and unlike some I could mention, was cooked properly. Definitely return again! 👍Returned this evening for some rock 'n' chips, although prices seemed somewhat high, the meal was fresh, hot and enjoyed.

Ordered through Just Eat for collection by accident and contacted the restaurant who rectified this and swiftly arranged for delivery - food came hot and fresh, very happy customer! Thank you :)

Well! If you don't mind a little drive and paying slightly more this place is worth it.Friendly customer service in a clean establishment where you can sit in and eat quality fish & chips. Portion size and freshness .... I recommend the skate fried to order...

Today I visited @chigwellfishbar and ordered a large Cod and Chips with 2 tubs of Tartare Sauce and a can of rubicon Mango. On entering the shop I was greeted by such friendly staff who cooked the fish and chips as I waited - and I watched them do the batter and everything which was lovely and The interior of the shop was also really nice. And the shop also extremely clean and covid safe. The fish is delivered every single morning fresh from billingsgate and cooked fresh once ordered so nothing is actually laying around pre cooked which is really nice ! The fish itself was absolutely delicious and is definitely one of the best I’ve had. The cod was absolutely beautiful so soft and the batter so lovely and crispy. The cod was huge which was lovely as many fish shops won’t actually give you a large cod when you order one - you’ll usually get something smaller for the large price. The chips were gorgeous and cooked to perfection and lovely and crispy and the tartare sauce really complimented the whole meal really well. All in all a fabulous fish and chip shop, amazing food, lovely staff and a great location in the middle of chigwell Essex. Thank you so much Guys .. HAD to leave a review! It's been years since I had chips And fish this good. Just moved nearby and thought we would try out these and were not disappointed. Nice and square and soft and just greasy enough - exactly how they should be! The guys working there were really friendly and cheerful. Wish I had discovered this place sooner! I JUST wish I could eat it everyday!
