Really enjoyed the roast beef dinner sitting outside by the river. Lovely friendly welcoming staff too

I was annoyed at wait and price a bit but food was both very good and in big portions so it was worth the wait and price.Obviously great view of the river.Yes, fish and chips and comically huge.

Absolutely shocking service! Was dumped on a table and just left, wasn't greeted by any type of waitress staff and was literally ignored from the minute we sat down. After 15 minutes of waiting for someone to come to our table we asked a waitress who walked past for some drinks as our three year old was gasping for a drink. She explained she wasn’t our waitress and we needed to wait for our waiter to come over but reluctantly took our order. It then took another 15 minutes before we had to ask yet AGAIN where our drinks was. Waitress literally shrugged her shoulders when we asked for our sons drink and reluctantly when to check if it was even on the way. Rude staff, 0 customer service skills. Clearly they was very busy however just a small bit of customer service goes a long way, a introduction from a waiter upon arrival, a indication of how long our drinks would be, acknowledged that we was sitting their would have been nice. We wasn’t even offered a menu when we sat down. The young male Waiter in our area was way to distracted laughing with other tables to clearly work himself around the other 3/4 tablets which was just left dumped and ignored. Our waiter didn’t even bother to look at us until we got up to leave after 35 minutes of being ignored with still no drinks. He then tried to charge us for the drinks we still hasn’t received, which we refused to pay. Beautiful restaurant however if you value customer service then it’s not the place for you, staff need to be retrained in the value off customer service.

Love the riverside site of this pub so took my daughter for some lunch. She was keen to have children's pizza but unfortunately none available so had to pick alternative. I ordered the Korean chicken skewers, the chicken (1 skewer with 4 chunks) didn't seem to have any flavour on it so not sure what made it 'Korean' and the actual chicken was not good quality meat, was a bit fatty for chicken. The sides I ordered were quite nice (mango salsa and chips) The pudding on the other hand was well presented and tasted nice. Just a bit disappointed in the main course to be honest as I normally love eating here. I would have said something to our waitress but unfortunately 2 tables next to us had complained to her already and got money off food so didn't want to seem like I was just trying to pull a fast one!

Amazing Mother’s Day dinner! With a fresh refurb the place has a lovely warm feel to it with great views over the water. The highlight without a doubt though was the food, which is possibly the best pub food I’ve enjoyed for quite some time. Huge perfectly cooked roast dinner and succulent steaks were all just perfect and so tasty, as were the desserts. It is on the pricier side, but great value given the quality.

Great service, great food and great value. We went on Mother's Day. The restaurant was packed, but service was efficient, the waiter was great, no mistakes with our orders, and no long delays waiting for food or drinks.Honestly, I've been to restaurants which have been a quarter as full and the service has not been half as good. So a lot of the credit must go to the manager of this pub restaurant for the most amazing organisation.

Have been here 3-4 times and each time the food has been good (for lunch and dinner). Perhaps a little more pricey than most pubs nearby but not outrageously so. Its also dog friendly which is a plus for me and on the weekend just gone we managed to book a bar table for 5 and bring the dog. Waitresses were really friendly and polite. The inside has a nice cozy feel and the outside is great during the summer.

·

Beautiful location and incredible atmosphere of the pub makes it my local favourite with terrace overlooking the River Lea and Dobbs Weir. Refreshing in the Summer, cosy and warm in Winter with the real wood fireplaces. Super friendly staff (I 've been served by Louise many times over and always top experience!☆☆☆☆☆) They serve delicious quality food ( priced accordingly but definitely worth spending). Great deal on homemade cocktails during weekdays.

Hidden gem. Free parking for customers... Don't forget to register your car though. Good service. Nice seat position next to the water. Food was fine. Prices about normal. Some good nearby walks. Worth a visit.
