Miller & Carter Harlow in Epping Forest

Was treated to lunch here by my children for mother's day. Had a really lovely time. Our waiter was very attentive, food was lovely and hot. Usual high quality.

The booking didn't go through properly, but the staff were so accommodating and managed to seat us at a lovely table. Only a short distance from the kitchen, but also in a spot where we could actually hear each other. Lovely waitress, plenty of banter and great service. As always, the food was excellent.

Very disappointed in our meal. It was my friends first meal out since before lock down. We arrived and was seated. We ordered our lettuce wedge as a starters , our mains arrived within 15 minutes of being seated, which I commented on to my friend as far to quick. We did not receive the starter. I cut in to my sirloin steak which was tough (I took home for my dog) not to mention the steaks were cold. I made this aware to the waitress who promptly took them away. 10 mins later the steaks were brought back on the wrong plats. My steak was now medium cooked not rare. My friends was not medium but now well done. We had the wrong sauces on our plates. The entire meal was disaster. I felt very sorry for my friend as like I say it was his first time out in two years. Yes! We were not charged for the meal, the manager should of come over and spoke to us in person. It’s fair to say we will not rush back.

Great food as always, can't remember the last time (if ever?) that we had a bad steak here. Starters were tasty too and our party of 4 enjoyed our meals (sirloin steaks all round). To full to try dessert but maybe next time.

The chips and the lobster arrived five minutes after the steak hence why the four star review because I had already eaten one of my steaks when the rest of the meal arrived. Also the onion was extra crispy this time.

Was taken there for mother's by my daughter had to waiting 15 minutes just to order drinks had to call them over to order. Again had to wait 30 minutes to order dessert over two and half hours for a average meal and not cheapso expect better. Also the the waiter when my daughter paid kept the change after she had already put the tip on the part payment on card so if you paying part cash and card don't expect your change.

Lovely food and waitresses are lovely as always, however front of house (who looked to be a manager) was very rude. Walked in for a table for two when the restaurant was completely empty and was told “fully booked”. We walked out to book online which showed that they were available all day and walked back in literally one minute later where we were seen by someone else and was seated straight away. Very strange way to treat customers.

Had a wonderful meal to Celebrate my good ladies birthday.Staff were amazing our waiter Jason was first class and a credit to the business.Food was amazing and well priced.Thank you to everyone that helped to make the day special.

Highly recommended for every one who love steaks! Everything prepared on highly quality, very good service. And my favourite desert 🤩 creme brulé " heaven in mouth". Thanks

Great experience!! I had the gluten free menu which is very hard to find in a restaurant, haven't eaten out much since being diagnosed with celiac disease and usually have to have a plain salad to be safe but this was a full menu with starters main and dessert! absolutely beautiful and my husband had the normal menu... tasted amazing! The meat was so tender and melted!! Staff were great and so friendly!!
