Rainbow & dove in Epping Forest

Just stopped off at the Rainbow and Dove on the way to Norfolk. Lovely little pub, great food and fantastic service. Dog friendly hours, or sit outside, which we were lucky enough to be able to do. Well worth a visit just off the M11. Thank you.

we went on Sunday for the first time as a party of four. The welcome was warm the service was great. My husband has a similar review on trip advisor and we agree this is the best pub Sunday roast. Nice wine good real ale(he is a camra member). for a busy service there was no waiting for drinks or food. We have waited longer in michelin starred restaurants and enjoyed it less.We will return.

Had another wonderful meal over the weekend just gone. I have visited this pub for many years with my family and always feel extremely welcome. The food is always on point, particularly fond of their “burger of the month” option which changes to a theme related to that month. Perfect location, just off junction 7 on the m11 and surrounded by peaceful countryside. Can’t recommend the Rainbow and Dove enough!!

23/01/21 (Sunday)Table of seven - booked for 1pm...fairly small pub, very busy.Greeted and seated quickly. Drinks orders taken efficiently. Orders placed from an impressive selection. Food duly arrives (hot and on preheated plates). Sunday roast, fish and chips, vegetarian options - absolutely superb. Puddings make you want to be sick...(in a good way!)...table service, without fault.What's not to like!Thank you Rainbow & Dove!We loved you!

We came to the Rainbow and Dove on Christmas Eve with family, we were a table of 11. The service was very efficient, and we were all served our food within minutes of each other, the portion sizes were very generous and the food was served nice and hot. We eat out a lot at pubs and restaurants in London and went to the Rainbow and Dove expecting usual pub grub and we were pleasantly surprised buy the quality. The food was simple and well executed, with big flavours. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and we all tried a bit of each others!And the cheesecake desert was delicious.We definitely recommend this pub if you're in the area or looking to book for a small group.

An absolutely great gem, ticked away off the main road. The menu is quite varied, fish pies and meat dishes. The wife has never been disappointed and believe me that is high praise indeed. 👏 The staff are efficient and courteous, well worth a visit.

I cannot comment about the food, beer or staffing of the premises, but their booking system for a table stinks.I booked for a small party of people and received an immediate reply of we have received your booking and will confirm shortly.Fifteen hours later, they declined my booking as full.I will not bother with this establishment again

Old world pub, not overly modernized so retains a lot of its original character. Staff welcoming. Food generally traditional pub fare, homemade and portions very generous. Good varied menu.I had a delicious steak and kidney pie with a good assortment of vegetables.Has a good sized play area for young children. Allows well behaved dogs

Excellent English Country pub just off the M11 for a business lunch. Great food and service.
