Sheesh at Ye Olde Kings Head in Epping Forest

Food was lovely! Great flavors, chicken was extra tender 😋. Drinks were tasty but took ages to get a table despite having a booking. Firepit has a great vibe. Definitely recommend!

Great food. Staff were very attentive and polite. We sat in the main hall, the staff let us stay over the 2 hour window. I will definitely be returning.

It's changed. The main bar used to be more loungey with awesome live bands/singers, now they have packed restaurant tables into the space. Staff remain friendly, operation slick and food is still pricey. Big portions though. Small food menu but nice staple dishes like the lobster and steak. Drinks are okay. Does some work on your wallet, so best to keep it to special occasions unless you are there on lookout for reality stars.

Well.. where do I even start? This place was unbelievable! That’s one way to put it.This restaurant exceeded my expectations with the service they offer you. It’s a visual treat once you arrive at the restaurant which is amazingly designed with a beautiful interior.And the food.. oh my WOW! Nothing more to say. The pure quality and taste of the food was just amazing!When you look at the menu you can see the prices are well over compared to other restaurants but you definitely get what you pay for. It’s a whole experience package in a beautiful restaurant with the most delicious and top quality food.This place is definitely a must try. Highly recommended.

I had never actually heard of this place before I went but my friends warned me it was a bit expensive. However for an expensive place it was not what I expected at all. It was trying to be a posh restaurant, a bar and a semi nightclub and failed in all three. It was noisy and while waiting for your table to become available we had to stand at a small round table for two with no where to sit or put drinks properly. On getting to the restaurant side which was still noisy we were told we couldn't order a starter without ordering the main course at the same time and there was a minimum amount of main dishes we had to order for the number of people in our group. Considering this is a very expensive place in the first place this seems highly unnecessary. Yes the food was very nice but no nicer than you could find in other places. And the bill for five was over £600!! Okay we did order a good few shots but this was still extremely expensive unless the shorts contained the elixir of life.So a place to go to be seen to have gone if you have money to waste. If you actually want to have a nice meal and a drink go somewhere quieter and cheaper and if you want to drink a bit go to a decent pub.

Amazing food. Fairly expensive but the quality justifies the price. The staff are very friendly, and they organised a candle on a dessert for my birthday (courtesy of the wife). Perfect for a special occasion or just for drinks.

Fantastic experience at Shish. Staff were friendly and the food was top notch. I ordered the chicken and lamb shish and the portion size was huge! We also ordered the truffle cheese chips, the portion was certainly enough for 3 people. We had delightful (strong) cocktails upstairs post dinner. Would recommend.

My eldest Daughter recommended this place for my 33rd wedding anniversary, and wow my wife and i loved it. One of the best restaurants we've been too that do similar food but no one does it the same as Sheesh. Food amazing, staff wonderful in a relaxed environment where no one rushes you to eat and leave. Thank you Sheesh, we are defo coming back again........

5 Stars! I was brought here for a birthday and boy did I feel special! Private off road parking, extravagant entrance, warm welcome from all staff we met, kind and attentive service, glamorous decor, I could go on.The food was (and I'm not exaggerating) so delicious 😋. I had a to stop eating a few times just to take it in.They also serve hearty portions so if you arrive with an appetite, prepare to be fully satisfied!My spouse also loved her meal 🍴 and I suspect the quality and delight is experienced across the menu.I would love to return. Its definitely one for special events.Well done to the team! 😃 🎉

Absolutely fantastic! Came a long way from Leeds to try this place for an occasion, was not disappointed at all! Starting with the customer service, it was brilliant! Food and service was very fast and top quality! Food tasted amazing to compliment the service! An amazing visit and will definitely be visiting again! Not just for the hype, but they definitely deliver all round! Must visit!
