A reliable local curry house that I have been eating at for years. The staff are friendly and the menu big. The proper table linen and cutlery add to the appeal, as does the fish tank. Vegan dishes provided with alacrity. Thanks to Naim

Lamb chop starters were amazing. Excellent service and very friendly workers. Best Indian takeaway in the area, very much recommended

Was here for group dinner and food was amazing. Everything was freshly cooked and had loads of flavour. Vegetarian options were as delicious as meat ones. Wine selection was nice and cocktails were refreshing and a joy to drink. Will definitely come back here for another occasion

A fantastic place to eat. The food is delicious and the service is friendly. They know my son by name and always make him feel special. If you like a traditional curry in a fantastic, histortic building then the Shuhag is a great choice

We aways go to this restaurant on Valentines Day as well as other special occasions. The food is delicious, service is great and the staff make a real fuss of you. They even gave me a red rose 🌹 this evening. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Shuhag always serves good food. Monday buffets are a must. The staff are always friendly and accommodating.

Just ate here today, very well taken care of and very fresh curry, nicely flavoured. I had a vindaloo that had lots of delicate flavour and balanced heat. My daughter had garlic prawns. They were very friendly to her too. Recommended for a friends or family gathering. Looking forward to going back.

What a disappointment. Terrible smell of drains where we sat. Poppadoms warmed up . Not fresh. Food very average. Menu said madras would be hot. It was tomato based and not hot at all . Jalfrezi was less than average . Not much flavour in any of it . Service erratic. Won’t be back .

The food was lovely HOWEVER the staff was extremely rude they had no highchair for children which it says on their website "good for children" saying harsh remarks in their language which about the customers and that someone did understand and had to put them in their place!!! The service was terrible.

The most traditional Curry House! Have visited the restaurant many times through out the years, always met with a smile, friendly service and fantastic food. Always a pleasure seeing the staff in around the Abbey.
