The Coriander in Epping Forest

One of my favorite place. Their food and the service was good and staff was helpful.

The word "consistent" is the one that pretty much sums-up our visits to The Corriander.Over the past seven years we've never experienced a bad meal (or service) here. I find it odd when I see bad reviews.Decent service (and in my experience) piping hot fresh dishes promptly arrive to the table - all at a very reasonable price.It's pretty faultless.

Worst Biryani ever We had. Very poor quality food for the money.

Handily placed Indian/Bangladeshi restaurant directly opposite Buckhurst Hill Station. Nice food and polite service provided by staff.

Food and the service was fabulous. Venue is nice, warm and inviting. As a family we all thoroughly enjoyed. Will recommend family and friends.

Nice staff, good dishes - mixed grill was slightly on the small side, but otherwise enjoyed the meal.

UPDATE: used to be 5 stars, but recently we ordered "palak paneer" which contained... cheddar instead of paneer. After we'd complained, the waiter then brought out a dish with actual paneer in it. So... they had it all along but chose to replace it with cheddar thinking we wouldn't notice? Weird. The rest of the meal was tasty as usual though.Very tasty and authentic food, reasonably priced. Good and friendly service. The place has a simple but functional aesthetic. All in all, a great local curry house.

Staff are utterly rude & unwelcoming with Asian guests. I have been to Coriander a few times over the years & the culture of this restaurant remains unwelcomming to guests of Asian origin.Food is comparable to other such restaurants in the area but the lukewarm service from staff dampens the experience.
