The Fox Inn in Epping Forest

Great pub, staff and management just so helpful, we held my great aunt's wake here, it was perfect. The guests rooms are fabulous to.

Went there for my daughters birthday yesterday due to recommendations from her. However the food was a total shock. The Yorkshire pudding was like cardboard and the potatoes needed a carving knife to cut them. The presentation was very poor the Yorkshire was plonked on top of the vegetables. Lovely bit of lunch. Had the steak and ale pie with seasonal vegetables and I have to say it was properly enjoyable. Real nice quality food.

Had a lovely meal here on Thursday before the Bank Holiday. Surprisingly quiet. The food was lovely..... as was the barman and our waitress. I highly recommend this pub. Its one of my favourites to return to!!

Food was OK. Had pate to start, no butter, just dry toast, good portion of pate though. Main was nice but I did think it was expensive for a burger. Don't think we would hurry back.

Went here for a meal with friends hardly any food on our plates very poor but very expensive ..dessert no better and silly prices. Table service good but wouldnt recommend and wont be returning...much better pubs in the area!

Great little place, lovely owners and really clean and well appointed. I arrived very late (midnight) which was not a problem at all; the owners went out of their way to help and checked me in no fuss. The room was great and so clean it puts my own house to shame. Lovely breakfast bag just what was needed. Highly recommend and not expensive at all. Thank you for having me.

Came here for Mothers Day 2022 with my Mum and sister.We are that delighted, I'm writing this whilst we are still sat here.The food was delicious, service was wonderful, the pub itself has a really lovely buzz to it and is beautifully laid out - a real country pub family vibe, but more beautiful than most.And can I just say, the staff here are so wonderful. It is so busy but they are absolutely smashing it out, with beaming smiles.You made the peak of Mothers Day a delightful, delicious and honestly wonderful night.Thank you Fox Inn and your wonderful team ❤

Lovely staff, nice food, dessert had a red sauce (guessing strawberry or raspberry) on it that was not listed by it in the menu, this in turn ruined my dessert. Veg with main not great either had loads of cabbage etc but 1 single tiny half carrot, I expected a bit more carrots and maybe peas...not going to deter me on the future but please list any sauces you intend to put.on things.

Went out with friends and our dog knowing this pub allows dogs in to the bar area we ewas greated buy a dog near the bar area that was. Barking a lot at ours and the owner said he does not like other dogs so why is he allowed to take it into this pub .So my dog wanted to go out side for a wee this time his dog was going made at my dog and the owner said to me why do you not take your dog out another way as my dog does not like your dog .so i said he should sit somewhere else with his dog if it acts like that .My question to the people that run this pub is why are you allowing a dog like that in your pub you have a responsibility to all your customers not just one that sits at the bar drinking and whatching horse racing on your TVI felt this could have escalated into more if i had let it as this person it seemed like was up for a fight but i walked out after asking this fine person was it just his pub then and why should i have to walk around the other side of the pub if he cannot control his dog .This did have an effect on my wife and friends so we decided to leave the bar the lady should have said something as she was there when this happened this has left a bitter taste in our mouths and myself and my wife will not be returning which is a shame as the food was good
