Never been here before. Very surprised. Lovely venue, when I visited it was not too busy. Very clean, disabled access. Excellent staff, great food. I was able to chat to my friends without the noise. Excellent service. Well done.

Went to George & Dragon last night fir my Grandsons 18th Birthday meal. The food was great. There was 20 of us everything came out together. Elena and the rest of the staff were amazing and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend and go back again.

We visited this lovely public house today. It wasn't a planned visit but we are so pleased we found it.The staff are all helpful and friendly the food is of excellent quality and big portions. There is parking at the back of the establishment as well. The toilets are spotless and all safety measures in place for everyone's safety.Sadly we don't live that close but when we visit the area again we will pop in again. Thank you for your kindness shown to us today. We look forward to seeing you again.

We went to the George and Dragon on a Sunday afternoon for my nieces birthday. The food was fantastic (had a combination of kids menu, roasts and a la carte). All the food was fantastic, well served, and fairly priced. Service was also excellent. Would definitely recommend and go again.

Love this pub! Food is excellent and the staff are wonderful! The food is priced for the quality, which is top notch! Definitely recommend! Dogs are welcome and there's room for prams in the soft seating area.

What a warm welcome and amazing food! Ten of us turned up extremely muddy after a hike and sent in a scout to see whether we might be accepted! We were just asked to take our boots off obviously to save the carpet, but they were so accommodating and made us feel completely at ease when we could easily have felt quite uncomfortable in our drowned rat state in such a lovely dining area! We were very well looked after and the food was fabulous, I had a pint of Mosaic and the chicken, brie and bacon pie which was incredible and definitely what was needed after the weather and walk, thank you so much 😊

I’ve always liked going to this pub , nice and local good food and the restaurant table service is good…. HOWEVER when ever we go for a drink either with friends or my wife the bar service is shocking!! Last night was no exception! Not appearing to be overly busy I tried to order drinks, after 12 minutes I managed to get the attention of a bar tender and politely asked ā€œwhen your readyā€ only to be rudely told I’m busy serving, I reiterated I said when your ready, waited again 5 minutes, asked another bar tender only to be told yet again yes we are busy and showing such poor attitude…. 20 minutes in total waiting for a drink! NO APOLOGIES!!! incidentally we went on to Have a meal and with drinks spent a fair amount of money…. This is not how I expect to be treated and chatting to other customers this seems to be normal practice, I suggest the people that run this establishment should invest in customer service training and perhaps more staff with friendly faces a smile or acknowledgement cost nothing… I doubt I be going back. What a shame

This place is outstanding. By Far the Best Pub food (I don't want to call it that cause its at a different level.) you can get. The Standard of Food by the chef Yasin was to my opinion at Michelin level. He is a very good chef and it tastes and shows in his food. It was outstanding Beautiful food. Also want to mention Richard, who is an Apprentice. Good luck. Your in the right place to start your Journey into the world of fine dining. We dined for 5 days in a Row. We was made to feel very welcome. The owner was the most beautiful Person and her Staff Carly,Nina. And the rest of the Bar staff waitresses were wonderful polite, helpful. Made us feel like family. I loved every day we went. And we have been back since, returning home. And will definitely return as there are so many dishes we have yet to try. Thank you for making our visits special. We felt special. Love to you allMany Thanks Floyd & Natasha ā¤.

Booked to eat here with the family having never been before but needing a place that catered for different needs. It was a very good choice and there was plenty to choose from for the kids who had their own menu, and also for gluten free options. Our party had Duck Pate, Steak Salad, Battered Fish and Chips, Chicken Salad and the Dirty Burger with a side of Halloumi Fries while the kids had Pizza and Ice Cream. The food was extremely well presented, fresh tasting, and exceptionally flavoursome. You expect a certain level in gastropubs and The George & Dragon did not fail to exceed. The venue itself felt spacious with all current CVD-19 safety precautions available. It was well decorated and an enjoyable place to be in. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Much credit is due to our host, Ioana, who ensured we were very well looked after and was brilliant with our boisterous kids. All in all, The George & Dragon is a local gem that is perfect for families who want an outstanding meal.
