"The Rabbits Pub & Restaurant beautiful country pub just north of Romford in Stapleford Abbotts. We’re very proud to call ourselves a classic British pub, hence our a la carte menu is brimming with all the well-loved dishes you’d expect, all homemade and all served with the warmest of service. Here on Stapleford Road, The Rabbits is cosy and welcoming whether you decide to sit indoors or out, and to top it all off, our bar serves plenty of real ales and fine wines. We take pride in everything we do here at The Rabbits and we think it makes all the difference. Why not call now to reserve a table and pop by to see us?"

Best pub in Essex. This pub is fabulous. The home made food is delicious. The staff are friendly and attentive. The landlord goes out of his way to ensure that you are having a good time.Spent St. Patrick day evening here and had the best time. The live music was terrific. Can not wait to return.

We found The Rabbits through a "good old fashioned" Google search looking for somewhere half way between where we and some friends live, with the criteria of allowing the dogs in and being near somewhere we could walk the dogs after food. I forgot to take pictures of the mains, which were an excellent roast lamb and pork (beef, chicken and nut roast were also available) while the kids wanted hamburgers. The food was excellent, service likewise, two hours flew by. Prices reasonable but worth it for the quality. We'll go again if we need another "half way house".

Lunch experience not as good as our last visit. Food came to table incorrect and replacement food bought out was also incorrect. Small shards of broken glass on our table from an apparent previous breakage which my daughter got stuck in her hand. Food portions slightly disappointing given the high standard from our previous visit in lockdown times.

The roast dinners we received yesterday were sadly disappointing. The potatoes were not freshly cooked, and had dried up and gone very hard. The food was also luke warm and on the small side which doesn't reflect the higher than average cost for a roast dinner these days.In the conservatory, the tables have been jammed in and as a result both my partner and I kept getting our chairs bashed by the neighboring tables and had to get up several times to let others out.As a further result of over packing people into the pub, the wait times were excessive. We ordered more drinks as the meals arrived and they still hadn't arrived after we had finished, at which point we asked again. The car park cannot cope either with the high number of customers.

Simply PerfectWow such great service, my partner was really unwell and this restaurant went above and beyond just to get a Sunday roast delivered to our home address. The dinner was perfect, the service was simply outstanding and I highly recommend this restaurant Amazing

Very nice pub set in the Essex countryside. Easy access and parking with a good size grassy beer garden. Inside was cosy and the staff very welcoming and friendly. Also allows dogs and caters for them with bowls of water and a few sausages if you ask. The food was of good standard and portion size with both typical pub grub and a few other specials. Certainly recommend the pie of the day! Only thing was lacking was more variety for vegetarians on the menu. There were only a couple of veg options in the mains and although looked good, would be nice seemed to be the easy options and it would be 5* if there was greater choice.
