Very nice family run pub, with a good selection of food.

Delicious food, lovely location & EXCELLENT customer service!We felt that the whole team at the Stag constantly looked after us & our guests and we honestly couldn’t ask for more. We had a wonderful day and that’s all thanks to them!Many thanks to Chris & his team. This was a very special occasion and somehow you managed to make it even more special. Thank you!

Nice pub with lots of outside space. Good for younger children as the whole place Is fenced in and has a climbing frame.Good drinks. We didn't have the food but the menu looked good.

Quick stop for the kids to grab some lunch, sat in the marquee, nothing to shout about, literally just a marquee with some old tables and chairs, did tell job, kept the wind off us, the waitress was new, literally first day, she was so nervous bless her but really polite, we've all had a first day, she did well, kids food was good, beer was fine, play area good, garden is starting to look tatty, beginning to look like a dumping ground between structures, they have made a good effort with the garden, just need to maintain it.

I’m so glad I found this lovely place. Absolutely amazing service and delicious food. Especially after I was let down for dinner by another restaurant (long story)

I think we’ve found our new favourite roast and a great midway point to meet family!Quite a last minute impromptu phone call and we were squeezed in for a Sunday Roast.Our greeting was warm and friendly and this continued with the service throughout.The food was sublime, definitely the best roast we’ve had in a long time.Just trying to find another weekend when everyone’s off work to meet in the middle again!

We had to say goodbye to our Mum on 1st December after her passing.We held the wake at The Stag. We had to cater for a party of 50, the staff and chef were AMAZING, the selection of food we chose was freshly prepared and mostly home-made. The food kept coming out to ensure there was plenty of hot food available at all times. Their attention to detail was second to none from start to finish, we so appreciated the genuine care they showed to us at a difficult time.In just a couple of weeks it would have been Mum's Birthday so we are returning for a Sunday Roast and enjoy talking about our memories.Thanks to all the Staff at The Stag for helping us in such a lovely way.Highly Recommended for groups up to around 50!

Have been here twice now and each time has been a delight. The staff are extremely nice, friendly and efficient. The food was served hot and was very tasty and filling.This is one of the best pubs I have been to and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

Had the most wonderful Sunday roast here. It was a plate full of well cooked food served in a lovely old pub.
