We had a very good meal, they have also vegan and vegetarian dishes. Always fresh salad at the saladbar. Fast Service. Our waitress (Kerry) was kind and friendly. No Problem with wheelchair.

Good service from waitress (Rhianna).Food was great and received quickly. Not keen on pointing at stuff in the salad bar and have staff scoop it up for me (covid is gone now).Great graffiti in the male toilets

Restaurant was clean and inviting.Staff was helpful and friendly.Food was great as always. The salad cart was awful only 1 side was being used, not enough of a selection. Items missing as well as sauces. Had to wait over 10 minutes for a staff member to come and help as we weren't allowed to get salad ourselves. Staff were walking past not acknowledging that there was a que of people waiting for there help. I think maybe it's time to let customers get there own salad.

Food lovely. Speedy service. Friendly staff.I do however feel we should now be able to serve our own salad. Even if disposable gloves were there for each customer to use. Building Yr own salad is a big part of the Harvester experience and now we are all learning to live with covid there's no reason for it not to return to normal

The restaurant is easily located, just 6 minutes from the M11 exit. It's got ample parking, disabled access and manifold seating. The waiting people were very cheerful and competent. The meals were well presented, tasted delicious and were reasonably priced.I look forward to coming again.(It's also an Ingress portal- if you know you know)

Quick service but terrible food , been going years will never go againWe booked a meal , and was promptly seated only to be put in a corner every time someone walked past you got knocked .It was very cramped seating arrangement .The food service was quick but that is where quality ended . The salad selection was basically empty i was only able to get tomatoes , beetroot and potato salad as everything else was empty .myself and my partner were served wrong drinks , i ordered fish and chips , that arrived piping hot , but fish was soggy , chips tatted like they were either cheapest quality or had been sat around for sometime .My Partner had Gammon Steak , but option of Jacket was not available so had choice of mash , which was a very poor quality , looked more like porridge. The gammon was very oily and was not presented with a steak knife and was very difficult to cut .Myself and my partner have been coming there many many years , but putting prices up , you'd expect some improvements in quality of food , but this was not so .It was a terrible meal and a waste of money , i would certainly never go back again .

Service was very good here.Food also good. Two in our party had the Christmas festive roast which was a disappointingly small portion, but reflected in the price I suppose.Good location and plenty of parking though.Stick to the main not the set menu, and you'll be fine, I expect.

Very unhappy, would give 0 stars if I could. The minute we got there staff wasn’t very attentive, we were told we couldn’t have a table because we hadn’t booked even though it was half empty. Staff were rude, salad bar was half empty. Then when my dinner arrived I had one hard egg and the other barely cooked, my gammon was really tough and chewy. I wasn’t asked how my meal was overall terrible experience won’t be returning.

After a year in lockdown, it had been my first visit to a harvester in a few years. The menu is always as great as always and left a surprising new found love of the current menu.It was fairly busy on entry but was seated from our booking right away. We didn't have to wait long to order our food and drink and with new foods on the menu, I`d thought I would stretch the boat out to try new flavours.I decided to try one of their new dishes from their new menu and it didn't disappoint. Upon arrival, it was a colossal dish of epic southern fried chicken proportions. The Dirty Bird was the tastiest burger dish I have ever tasted in my life from a harvester in a long time. With layers of juicy southern fried chicken, with a layer of bacon in between and topped with 2 onion rings, hash Brown, salad and a generous amount of sauce. The sauce was rich, tasty, spicy and very morish with the whole triple southern fried chicken being very cheesy and tasty. After enjoying my main I enjoyed a few unlimited refills of tango orange, however, the only small problem I had filling up, was that when refilling the tango, it dispensed soda water, but with a quick question to staff, they were able to fill from the main filling station at the bar within minutes of asking. After a short break and rest, I decided to order the cheesecake, which came with compote and cream and a few small berries which complimented the dessert well and filled me up enough for a very enjoyable meal with the family. The staff are friendly and work really hard during our visit and we're hardly ever resting. I give praise for all the work they did to continue making it a COVID-19 safe restaurant to enjoy without too many disruption to the classic harvester experience.Would defiantly visit again despite being a long journey to visit, just to enjoy the experience the great customer service I received during our meal at The Talbot.

We haven't been back for a number of years. Decided to do on a whim for the Sundae (dessert) menu.Parking was easy, greeted and seated quickly. The lady behind the bar was friendly and helpful. The Sundae I wanted was not available. Nor I think the backup. Tasted the Belgian Waffle with ice cream and strawberries and sauce. It was ok. Ice cream was the highlight. There was also the Chocolate fudge cake sauce. This was decidedly unpleasant. My son ate most of it but it was sickly sweet. He asked for water half way through. I think it was the "Belgian chocolate sauce" added to it.If you are a coeliac, you are not going to have much choice. The menu doesn't have anything gluten free including fruit salad. Upon enquiry, you could have the fruit salad or the ice-cream with raspberry sauce (maybe the other sauces too). The ice cream is actually very good and knowing that now, I would probably only order that in the future (remember we only came for dessert). May come here again but won't be rushing.
