Great service. Great beer. Two lovely ladies the barmaid and the cook made our day. Dropped in for a beer at the end of our walk today and a really friendly welcome rounded off with a Valentine treat for both of us courtesy of the chef.

Family friendly pub foods pretty decent staff are friendly nice play area if you have kids out the back of the pub enty of parking but woe betide anyone trying to get in here in the summer it's manic normally heaving and a long wait for food or drink but as I said its overall pretty decent

Could be an amazing pub with the right management. Downside is that its very hit and miss as to when its open and when its not, when it is open it closes at 9pm meaning you cant go here for an evening out and it is always almost dead. Food very basic and expensive for what it is.

Despite the manager /chef being lovely and accommodating, I found the food rather poor on a lunch visit and a dinner visit . The hullumi salad had alot of leaves but not much else. The chicken burger in the evening just appeared to be a cheap chicken in breadcrumbs hard around the edges , very basic salad and I didn't eat the bun to be able to comment. Disappointing anyway. My friends said the green Thai curry was lovely. So hence my middle of the road star rating. The entertainment on the other hand was fantastic! Fanny galore drag bingo! Would go to that again.

We think this place is great (food, drink, atmosphere, staff), nice location after you explore the Cornmill meadow and nature. This place has an unfair low rate and we feel we need to correct that.

Food is excellent, great choices for meat and veggie lovers! The staff are always really friendly and accomodating. There's something a little off about the ambience, however that may be my own personal taste. I really loved the pictures of Waltham Abbey and the original owners that were hung up on the wall - such a nice little addition. :)

We stopped for a drink. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The guy at the bar also works in the kitchen and was very helpful in particular with regards to tailoring food to accommodate my vegan diet. Will come back for food another time. Nice spacious environment and good for walking nearby.

Service staff very good. Was acknowledged as soon as we walked in by a friendly young guy very engaging, even welcome our dog. Surprised it was so quiet. Food was ok, could have done with some sandwiches on the menu, assume it's still a restricted menu due to covid......Well done to the service staff!!
