Bengal Spice in Fenland

Ordered take away- when it arrived there was an item missing from the order. Phoned them to be told that it was too far to come back to deliver a replacement and they would give a discount next time. Would not recommend

My first time using bengals spices and I have to say I will be back wow so much flavour amazing well done.

Looks nothing from outside but the food is the freshest I've had in a curry house and noticed a 5 star hygiene rating on way in too

Very dissapointing again! Chips were stone COLD, hard and shrivelled, I wldnt even give them to my dog! as was the nan bread, the rest was barely warm and not enough meat in the dishes! Rang to complain said they wld give me discount next time! That's no good! I want my hot food NOW! There won't be a next time! They should have sent someore OUT WITH MORE chips and nan straight away! AND A discount!

Yet another great meal from Bengal spice tonight, I highly recommend this place, this indian restaurant has got so much better since being taken over by the new owners, great food, great people, great prices, thank you.

The food was extremely well cooked and tasted amazing! Can tell it's under new management!

Just back from an amazing meal tonight. Excellent food and service. It was our wedding anniversary and we were made to feel so special by the owner and staff. Would 100% recommend and cannot wait to return.

We were dissapointed with our food we ordered on Sunday. A king prawn byrianie and a phael. After years of satisfied service we will no longer be usring them x

Wednesday evening 2nd June: I ordered a takeaway online and paid for it at 18 minutes past 6. It had still not arrived by 18 minutes past 8. I have severe anxiety/depression and was in a bit of a state after I had phoned the restaurant about 8 times to ask them where it was. I then called for a taxi (I have no transport and live 2 miles from Wisbech- about 2 and a half miles from where the Bengal Spice is located); fortunately someone else gave me a lift. I went in to the restaurant and the owner didn't seem to have a clue- he looked elderly and not very well. I couldn't get a signal to get onto my banking app, so then I showed him the conformation email on my phone. He then phoned the driver, then got cut off, then the driver said he was at my house. He said "there's no-one in!" no, because I have had to actually GO TO your restaurant to collect my takeaway which was 2 hours late!!!! I said, can't you leave it behind a bush or something. I got back, nothing there. I had (not a good thing to do I know) left my front door unlocked, probably because I was so wound up. I opened the front door. My meal was in a cardboard box on top of my printer. I am still speechless; you couldn't make this sort of thing up. Also I paid £5 for half tandoori chicken and it wasn't in there. I am still extremely upset by this- I don't have much money, I live on my own and if I have chicken I share it with my 2 cats who are my main reason for living most days. I hope the owners of Bengal Spice read this review and feel ashamed of themselves. Ironic how the concept of karma originates mostly from your country and yet you don't seem to want to integrate that into your life.

Ordered through just eat - Delivery time was set for 7:45 (all fine with order), got to 7:55 & still no appearance of our order; rang the restaurant & very rudely got my address told to me & that my order will be there now .. waited another 10 minutes still no sign, used just eat site to ask for an update and received a text saying it had been delivered when it hadn’t, again rang back and this time got told they’d contact the driver, got hung up on then a phone call a minute or so later to say driver would be there in 5-10 minutes.Driver turned up, a young lady who was apologetic and explained what had happened, couldn’t fault her, she had been sent an hour in the opposite direction when our order came through and been expected to drive like a loon (like another driver they have) to get our order to us.Overall poor customer service, have nothing but issues with this place but always give it another try, definitely won’t be now. Every time our orders have been late and every time the gentleman on the phone has been rude. Management need to rethink the running of their business cause it’s just poor.
