Jolly Fryer in Fenland

Love this chippie.The food is top quality and delicious. The portions are massive for such a small price. Fish comes in one size and you better hope you have a healthy appetite, it is big but it is cooked to perfection.Fantastic service and no waiting for long times although at certain times, you have to queue but that shows the quality of the shop and products. It's worth waiting for.Without a doubt, the best chippie around for miles.They still have Covid restrictions in place and a mask is mandatory at present.Was at the chippy this evening, still the best for miles around, quality meal and large portions.The whole business is run so well from the lady taking your order, to the lady serving your portion, to the lady wrapping up and not forgetting the importance of the fellas doing the frying. Anything you order is cooked perfectly.Great place, great prices and friendly staff and conveniently located within the vicinity of Asda which means you can park your car in the car park, do your shopping and then pop in to get your chippy tea to take home. The food is always piping hot 🔥.5 stars doesn't do them justice, I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Service and food is excellent, haven't tasted fish and chips like that for a while! We have obviously being going to the wrong chippy 😋 Inside was clean and really attentive to the covid situation when other businesses just can't be bothered. Well Done The Jolly Fryer 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Will definitely be using you again to fill my tummy lol😜Went again today 12.02.21 but been many times already totally value for money and taste is outstanding! The best fish and chips by a country mile only downside is early closing times on a Fri and Sat

I live 40 yards from this chippy and I'm so lucky. The food is amazing. As I get older I've discovered that I have an intolerance for fish but I still buy it from here because it's so good. I can put up with the discomfort for a few hours because the cod is so tasty. Don't get me wrong, I still buy other things from here and it's so good as well. Best chippy in town

Great food, especially the fish and chips

Wisbech has always had great fish and chips at many good places so over the years we have been to most but Jolly Fryer is the one i use most weeksYou can always tell how good a place is by how many people are waiting in a queue , this is the case here but it goes down in good time and its all freshly cooked , they have a very good restaurant but check for opening times for this at this time

A most reasonable repast, in a delightful part of Wisbech. A freshly cooked fish supper, complete with a pot of tea for two.. Really clean restaurant, and friendly staff.. Competitively priced, go on get down to the Jolly Fryer...

The Jolly Fryer is definitely the best Fish & Chip shop/restaurant we've ever been to. People travel from all over the Fens to eat at this excellent restaurant.

Should be 6* probably the best fish and chips I've ever eaten! Been visiting Wisbech for a few years now and this place has never changed always excellent! Great staff such quick service long may it last!
