Rising Sun in Fenland

Lunch today for the 4 of us, this is a proper pub, warm and welcoming. The landlady Margaret is very friendly. Appears to be a good range of beers shame we were driving. Meals were all good and flavoursome.

Fantastic, used for 1st time Wednesday, food was fresh and delicious, staff could not have been more aattentive and helpful. The owner Maggy made a point of saying hello and making sure we had enjoyed our evening. This pub deserves to be busy busy busy

Was closed (even though it was during supposed opening hours). From the outside it looked as if it may have gone the way of so many pubs recently.

It's been a long time since we last visited but it was great to see the food was still absolutely amazing. The landlady was as friendly as before and the atmosphere was fantastic. Look forward to our next trip to Wisbech and a visit to the Rising Sun Inn.

I've never been to this pub before despite living in the village for some time and attended their steak night... 2 for £18 Inc all the trimmings. What a pleasant surprise... The steak and the whole meal was delightful and when combined with the personal service from the owners my friend and I both thought the whole experience was spot on. I have to give mention the waitress who was excellent and is a real asset to the pub. Very impressed and will be back very soon

Charming place to eat with great honest food. Despite being in this area for fifteen years, we have only just discovered it - and have been back several times. Maggie and her crew do a fine job of welcoming us every time and we really enjoy the sensibly priced food too.

Barman excellent. Starters well presented and tasty. Over an hour to then wait for a set menu (beef or lamb with veg) roast meal. All meals cold and returned for microwave processing (no message from chef or kitchen). Beef okay but all lamb meals chewy. Sent feedback on meals to the chef / kitchen via the waitress but no response from the kitchen. Waitress came back with our bill. We paid and left and definitely not returning.
