If you like old and quirky you will love it here. We had four poster bed in a nice en suite room. The breakfast was very good, staff are friendly and very helpful. We had a fabulous meal with 13 people the service was excellent the food superb everything was cooked and served in good time. Would definitely recommend this hotel as long as you like quirky and dont mind the noise from the bar.

We didn't stay as a hotel guest but we visited for a relatives birthday meal, the staff were very lovely and the food was fantastic 😊 thank you very much, they let us bring our own birthday 🎂 and even helped us sing Happy birthday we were a large party and everyone enjoyed themselves

Had a lovely meal here on 12th March with our cousins. Whilst we had to wait a little while, the quality of the food and the attentiveness of the staff made it more than worthwhile. Very nice, good value for money too

The room was nice enough but tatty didn't brave the shower as it looked to be falling apart breakfast was small and edible but not really any thing special didn't really feel massively welcome with baby although was acommedating could use some more staff desperately and a good scrub up shame really as it just needs some tlc not a bad stay by ant means but has alot of potential that it isn't living up to

staff were lovely and the pub is very quirky and interesting. It was a busy evening as the rugby had been on but fortunately we had booked a table. The food, sadly, was disappointing. The steak was OK but horrid oven chips. The salmon, rice and brocoli was bland and uninteresting. The deserts were very poor, we had to complain about the "homemade" bread and butter pudding as it was rubbery and reheated in the microwave. When I complained the waitress said others had already complained but they carried on serving it !!!The restaurant was cold too. Venue and stsff 10/10 food 2/10

The staff were excellent and the atmosphere was really good. I was disappointed with the Christmas meal, the best part of the meal were the vegetables. I would not eat here again.

Beautiful rustic pub. Lots of quirky spaces inside. Outdoor seating available. Open fire in the fireplace in the main bar during winter. Landlord and landlady are really friendly and very community minded. Good selection of drinks. Great food.
