The Elm Tree Inn in Fenland

I came with family 8 adults and 2 babies, they were fully booked and still service was faultless and the food was amazing. I don't often leave good reviews but felt I had to make sure I did for here

When I go out to eat I like to have something I couldn't eat at home and I can honestly say the salmon I had at the Elm Tree was superb much better than when I cook it myself. The accompanying vegetables also lovely. I tasted food from others at the table which was also great. Reasonably priced and attentive staff in easing surroundings

Service was mostly good, but the food choices were very limited and for the price, wasn't worth it. There was only one vegetarian option for a main, and the desserts were underwhelming. Not a bad meal, but I wasn't particularly impressed by anything.

Great little place! We enjoyed a night here yesterday. We had never been and had occasion to stay to pick up a new puppy in the area. The staff were fantastic. Particular call out to Jasmin and the chef. Both could not have been more welcoming, engaging and attentive. We were lucky with the Steak Evening! The food was excellent.The room was comfortable with a comfy bed too.Would recommend.Thanks again!

I've just had an excellent Sunday lunch at the Elm Tree with my wife and some close friends. We arrived without a booking and despite the restaurant being very busy the friendly staff kindly found us a table. The whole experience was very positive. The service by the team was top notch. The interior decor was smart and modern with nice artwork. Food and drink was great and we were extremely pleased all in all.

We went for our staff Christmas party this evening. There were 26 of us booked in. We were so impressed by the organisation and service we received. All of the meals came out hot, well presented and in good time so that we were eating together. It is the best staff, Christmas meal I have been to. Thank you to the great team at The Elm Tree Inn. Nothing was too much trouble and the chef even came out to cut a birthday cake for one of the ladies.

Went there for evening meal. Very nice place to be, whether for a drink or a meal. The food was lovely, service a tad slow, but that's because a party of 8 arrived the same time we did. Staff were great, we enjoyed our visit very much

This fine establishment was recommended to me by a friend. I only live 13 miles from it, but had never heard of it. It is just off the main A1101/A47 roundabout near Wisbech - so out of sight, out of mind! The staff are friendly, efficient and helpful, the interior is spotless and the food as good as any I have ever had served. We both had Sirloin steaks, chips etc., my wife has bad arthritis but did not require my help to cut her steak proving how tender they were, the chips were better than most fish shops serve. An excellent meal which has led to us making a reservation for a four course meal on Christmas Day. I have no hesitation in recommending the Elm Tree Inn, check their Menu, it's worth it. They do have a large car park, but it can get quite full in busy periods.

We arrived weary and without a booking on a Friday after 8pm having being caught in traffic for a couple of hours and the chef generously agreed to provide us with a meal. We were so grateful. When it arrived our meal was absolutely delicious,a beautifully cooked piece of salmon on crushed potatoes with steamed sugar snap peas (crunchy not slimy) a perfect hollandaise sauce and a lovely side salad with dressing! Compliments to the chef. The staff were so nice as well. We will visit again but promise to book next time.
