A proper quaint old pub with loads of character and an eclectic mix of furnishings.. Staff & customers all friendly & welcoming. Dogs are welcomed and given treats every visit. No food but excellent beers at reasonable prices.

Probably the best pub in March, outside seating, differing real ales, nice interior.

Lovely traditional friendly pub with a revolving range of real ales. Enjoyed an excellent pint of Thornbridge Jaipur there on Sunday afternoon. Nice atmosphere.

Great breakfast, my friend and I try different places for breakfast and this is currently one of the best on our list. We go by flavour rather than quantity and this is just the right size too.I didn't have the black pudding it's about an inch thick and my friend said it was excellent.

Great little pub. And great local people. 1 st pint and people just chatting away. Mixed in straight away. Nice bar lady, chatty and helpful.Located next to canal. Seating out side and a good range of beers.Call in again when passing.

The Ship Inn. Privately run, lovely small quaint pun that looks like it could be in the countryside. 8 craft beers on tap, 6 changeable and 2 fixed. Fresh pints. Perfectly poured Guinness, with the tap pushed forward for the top up. Friendly service. 4 tables and some chairs out front, south facing.
