Vesuvio in Fenland

Great restaurant which is highly recommended! Surprisingly full (half of whom were speaking Italian) on a Thursday lunchtime! Lovely food and helpful unhurried staff.

Having lived in Napoli for a few years I have missed the true authentic tastes of traditional pizza and pasta meals but wow does this place deliver! My favourite lasagna dish was a delight and accompanying dressed salad fresh and beautifully presented. Have dined here several times and can't praise the quality of food, service, decor and warm welcome highly enough. From the moment you step through the door to the time you leave we felt so welcomed, comfortable and just really well looked after. A gem of a restaurant in Whittlesey and we've had many a gathering and couple nights out here. It's one of my absolute favourite restaurants and if you haven't been you should definitely book. It's a five star from me!

The food is really good, the service could be friendlier. Would be great if staff knew what wine they got.It is you, the owner, who is unfriendly, which you show on your responses below, so no point telling you. You can't take feedback and blame me, the customer. Not a good strategy for a business.

A lovely family run restaurant that really delivers the true taste of Italy. The food is excellent value for money and is always good, piping hot and high quality as everything is home made. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is good. We'll done Maria, Peppe and the team....keep up the good work!

Beautiful proper Italian food - reminds me of what my nonna used to cook for me. The food is always hot, fresh and full of flavour and served super quickly! Absolutely delicious meal. My husband's family is from Italy, so he is very picky with his Italian food. Service was wonderful, very family friendly. Will be going back again!

Having recently relocated from 38 years living in Whittlesey, one of the few things I'll really miss is Vesuvios. Brilliant food, service and child friendly too. Maria is a diamond and we have a lot of happy memories there. My future visits to Whittlesey will be under the charade of seeing family and friends but secretly it will be to get my Vesuvios fix.I recommend checking out the music nights too. Always a lot of fun.

From arrival we were greated with warm smiles from all staff as if we were long lost friends. Service was excellent all the way through our service. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection. I couldn't recommend here highly enough. We had a table of 4 adults and a 1 year old and the staff were fantastic with him making it a really special night for him. Thank you all for a wonderful night.

Excellent Italian in the heart of Whittlesey. It's got a well-priced, varied menu - including a lunch deal menu with plenty to choose from on it. The service is friendly, the decor is nice (though not super memorable), the bathroom is clean, and the atmosphere has a good vibe. Most importantly, the food is really nice - the callamari and garlic bread were pretty good (nothing special), but the spaghetti bollognese and the chicken/mushroom main dish were both excellent (most pictured). If you're in the area, this place is well worth a visit.
