My favourite morning place for a coffee to relax in and to have a breakfast snack. Only set back is the 2hour parking restriction which man people have fallen foul of not knowing that the landlords of the carpark have recently imposed this having reduced this from a 4hour stay recently. Quite frankly a 2 hour limit is totally Inadequate if you want to shop and have a relaxing coffee.

Popped into Next & as there was a table free thought we'd have a coffee ☕There were only 2 staff, 1 serving & 1 trying to clear away tables & stack washer & had run out of clean cups!Very long wait & wish we hadn't bothered really.Lots of crumbs etc on floor at 11.30 already, so how was lunchtime going to go??? Both the staff were run rackered & looked totally shattered. Surely they could have someone just to do the tables, sweep up & stack the washer????

Coffee not that hot and very slow service, both indoor and drive through.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Queued for 20 mins, had to clear the trays of old food from the last guest and wipe my own table, and then the order was wrong. Never again

Freezing cold, as the front door was open "due to Government covid guidelines". But if they are following covid guidelines why are all the tables so close together and dirty.

Great coffee ,but the place looked a bit run down , needs a bit of TLC.

Terrible service! Queued for ages, not enough staff and only one till open. Got there and ordered two toffee penny lattes to takeaway, one with soya milk, the barista made one in a normal glass put cream on and then poured it into a takeaway cup. He then also made the other one with regular milk which I asked for with soya milk, we waited over 10 minutes for the drinks to be made and didn't even get a toffee penny until we asked for them. Very disappointing for £7.90.

Update - 26 Oct 19 - Service was quicker today but I still can't put my finger on why it's so slow. Everyone is doing something but nothing seems to happen. In contrast to the kiosk in Charing Cross station where a single server takes money and makes drinks exponentially faster. However once made the drinks are ok and the surroundings are relaxing ( needs.to be after the wait).Update - my latest visit 4 May 2019 the service is still slow. This time I visited at 9:20am it wasn't busy, there was already a lack of food available and it took 7.5mins from ordering to getting the drinks. Not as bad as last time but also staff not really showing and ounce if wanting to deliver a service. What I feel this place needs is a change of leadership. Not management.Service is particularly slow. Possibly due to more resources being pushed towards the drive through. If more staff were employed or the ''eat in experience resources better' then I would be confident of a better experience. On this occasion though. Slow service.Edit- stillwaiting for drinks after 10mins. Casual observations show that 2 members of staff prep drinks for the drive through and only one for the eat in experience. Food was ready after 5 mins. Waiting 10min for drinks and still no sign.Edit - Update 26 Jun 21. It's been a while new staff. Apparently the old staff passed in how to be some of the slowest most inefficient staff ever. Drive through is still quicker. Presumably because the drive through is checked for speed of service via IT. Bad show Costa bad show.Edit- a good hits member of staff has arrived assisting the drive through still only 1 prepping drinks for for the eat in.Edit- 18mins gone 7 persons have paid waiting for drinks internally. Cars are flowing well with 2-3 drinks per car. It seems 3 staff prepping makes that process smooth. 🤯Edit- Now on 21 mins and the drinks arrive. Unacceptable Costa.Edit - 12 Dec 21 - still appears to put more workforce on the drive through leading to greater waiting times inside. Possibly some of the slowest service I've seen. Polite staff soften the blow of what is essentially bad leadership and use of resources.

This Costa is located inside “Next” Costa have improved their performance at this location and today gave the best performance that I have ever experienced in a Costa Coffee Bar. Well done this young team. You were working very hard and to the maximum ability of the machines. Other Costas certainly need to up their game to match you guys. Well done the young ones.

Went to Costas with family: coffee didn't taste like coffee, and had to ask for one more shot; food not bad. The staff were miserable, and not very friendly.Won't be coming again.
