Deep Blue Fish & Chips in Forest Heath

I have to say these are the best and tastiest fish and chips in Newmarket. Fish cooked to perfection and a lovely crispy batter. Richard and Archie so friendly and happy. Always acknowledge you when you go into the shop. Great customer service. Love your enthusiasm and energy. Will only buy my fish and chips from you. Thanks a million. 😊

Brilliant, happy service by Richard. Checked with us, fast service and playing with our little one. Couldn't ask for more. And a shout out to his colleague who walked what seem to be a regular older lady out with all her bags across the road back home. This goes above and beyond and you are a credit both of you to your employer. The food was delicious as always. Chips were well cooked and tasted yummy along side that marvelous gravy. The fish was in the one of the most amazing batters I have had in a while. I personal had the fish burger which came in a lovely bun. Even the little one dug in brilliantly 👏 Top notch plaice 😉

Came in for a wonderful tea last night, fantastic food cooked by Richard, served by Archie and cleared by Ange. Fantastic serve on a busy evening.All food was delicious, brilliant portion control. Gluten free food was outstanding.Kept checking in to make sure everything was up to standard and we had everything we needed.Thank you very much and defo be back again 😊.

Great fish and chips! Portion sizes are great, the chips are good and the fish, fish bites, and battered sausages are crispy and tasty. The service is very good and staff are friendly. Also very good value. My go to chippy in Newmarket.

WOW!I went for a bag of chips to share with the family, to be told my order would be free!!And to order meals for the whole family as part of the jubilee celebrations, every 70 minutes, someone would get their take away order free. I was totally shocked and very grateful.What a lovely thing to do!!Thank you.

Bit of delayed review but ordered delivery end of January the food took 2 hours to arrive. Our daughters meal was missing. Our food was DISGUSTING with burnt bits in the chips and batter. Cod looked like a half a portion haddock was cremated. Didn't answer the phone. Sent an email to the store through the website yet to receive a reply. Can't fault the delivery driver. Had to get food elsewhere. £26 down the toilet.

We all enjoyed our meals! It was prepared fresh as well as excellent presentation! The service was friendly and approachable and attentive to our needs! Informed us greatly on the dietary requirements, definitely will be going back again!!! :)

Excellent sit in fish supper. Lovely welcome and cheerful chat from Jacob. He went extra mile to serve a great meal. Well prepared food. Clean restaurant well presented. Recommended highly!!

This place used to be good. After waiting 10 minutes for the fish to be cooked (I don't know if the owners think everything being cooked to order makes it better but it doesn't, it simply means rather than getting fish which is cooked and then rested one is presented with red hot fish but with chips that have been cooked for for considerably the longer and are thus far cooler so by the time the fish has cooled down the chips are cold) the fish arrives and despite being a large the batter was so thick and soggy it was actually thicker than the fish itself, there were two types of chips dry ones and chewy ones, despite coming in at opening time half of the portion was made up of inedible scrappy pieces of hard fried potato. Never again

Over priced typical chain of takeaways that doesn't actually respect the art of making proper British fish-and-chips at all. There is one on valley way... and I have reviewed this and it is 5 star, In STARK contrast to the overpriced, and very commercial "Deep blue".
