Of the half dozen Indian food outlets in Newmarket, this is our go-to for takeaway. Consistency in quality and service and usually pretty quick even during busy times.

We just had our first takeaway from here, 4 people and a variety of different currys, rice, naans etc. All very flavoursome and tasty. We will be returning customers and would highly recommend.

Rang up the place after getting my food and it was SWIMMING in water. As was my Mrs dinner. Before I had the chance to explain he cut me up, told me he’d discount my next meal and hung up. Almost like he’s used to people ringing up with same complaints. Won’t go back. Should of had my money refunded as it wasn’t even edible.

Ordered the Chicken Tikka Masla, swimming in water and very little flavor. The pompadoms were burnt having paid £1 each. Not a great end to the year..

Cold, rubbery and really fishy smell and taste..

Spent over £40 yes it arrived on time but that’s where the good part ends. The chicken tikka masala had only 5 small pieces of chicken in it witch was swimming in sauce and when put on the plate loads of water came out of it but cost over £7. Then to mine it was so greasy I had to throw most of it in the bin. As for the others pretty sure they were only being polite when they said there’s wasn’t to bad yet left loads. Safe to say we won’t be ordering from here again.

Best Indian in Newmarket. Always delivered with a smile. Use their own website for ordering instead of Just Eat. They don’t have to pay them ridiculous commission if you do that.

Dodgy meat in the curries... the lamb Rogan josh had mysterious crunchy/gritty bits in it. And not just one bit, both of us found some. Didnt look like bone, not sure what it was. But it rather spoilt everything else. Also both the lamb and the chicken were very dry and chewy. If that was the only problem I wouldnt have bothered to place a review... I've never done a negative restaurant review before. But the lamb was unacceptable.2 stars, not 1, because everything else was ok.

Fantastic food, delivered in a reasonable time, acceptable prices .Wide selection of authentic Indian food to Newmarket and surrounding areas since 2007.Since its opening the Lime has won many prestigious local and national awards. Ordered a delivery as I have done in the past. This time the delivery man demanded an extra £2 in cash at the door for delivery. I have no problem paying a delivery change but as I had already paid using paypal I was not expecting to pay any more. This will be the last time we order from this company for delivery.
