How disappointing today... previously had a great experience, hence returned... I could see that staff shortage and possibly experience was lacking today.... but wondered if ownership has changed? Gave 1 🌟 star as they offered to take the drinks off our bill, which was appreciated.... long story short..15minutes wait for all drinks... one was wrong and waited another 15 for that to be sorted.. beef roast had to be returned as asked for well done and it wasn't.... the one pork left, should not have been served.... mainly fat and crackling..... felt sorry for staff as they wereworking hard... but, really effected our experience today... the girls kept smiling and polite.... very sad 😔

The atmosphere is great, plenty of outdoor seating, the nachos were super good. However I waited over an hour and half for my tomahawk steak while everybody else at my table received their food and finished eating. I then asked multiple staff where my food was with nobody ever coming back to give me an answer. I finally got my food and it's just under well done when I asked for medium and it's luke warm.... Then the waitress had the audacity to ask "was it worth the wait?"... No it wasn't worth the wait and it wasn't worth the money.Edit to the response: I was the first person to order food. And since we were ordering separately how big my party was is irrelevant. I've cooked tomahawk steaks that big before myself, it doesn't take an hour to cook 30-40 min tops for medium, yet I waited more than a hour and a half. So, your excuses are... Meh.

Hubby found this place on Google as we were meeting friends for a walk at High Lodge. We were given a very warm welcome by the staff and from start to finish everything was perfect! I had the Oh My Cod with a brioche bun and my hubby went all in and had the Big Hot Mess, which was ginormous!! Our friends also had pizza, the caeser salad and my daughter went for the chicken burger. Our table was rammed with food and it was all delicious!! I still had room for dessert so went for the sticky toffee pudding... My word it was good! The prices are very reasonable too so all in all we will be back!!! Oh forgot to say, I think the chips were triple cooked and to die for 😂

Go here. Order the big hot mess burger. Be prepared. Be happy! Lovely place, nice decor and friendly team. Definitely coming again to try some of the steaks on the menu!

On the whole it was very good. Had an issue with one of the mains but that was resolved satisfactorily. We were a group of eight, steaks and burgers good, pizza not so good. Good deserts and drinks. A lot of choice on the menu.

A good place for almost any occassion. It's a nice pub with a touch of elegance. I went for Christmas Eve and it had a cheerful atmosphere and was very cozy. I had beef sirloin which was delicious even though I'm not a beef lover. I ordered it because I wanted to have something similar to a Christmas meal and so I wanted to avoid hamburgers, pizza or the regular breadcrumbs dishes.

This steakhouse, which is under lease from Greene King yet independently operated, seems to provide excellent quality dishes that are a generous size for hungry customers.Red Lodge is far from bring the most salubrious of places to visit. I would assert that to have a restaurant of this calibre in such an urbanisation (built up, new, primarily residential area) is a rare gem. I very much hope that the rather sudden influx of new residents doesn't turn this excellent public house into a mere drinking hole for the new residents. The Red Lodge steakhouse may actually be the only reason to visit Red Lodge, Other than friends and family, as to say it is short on amenities would be an understatement! This very bleak new development is endebted to this steakhouse for providing life and soul, They even provide a complementary bouncy castle at weekends sometimes for children. The full English breakfast was excellent value and very well cooked. There are several menu items that are less expensive for those who do not seek a prime matured steak or do not eat meat.I make no criticism of the menu at all and believe this is a very rounded establishment.
