Pleased there open again the best Indian food in Newmarket, excellent chicken jalfrezi and generous portions

Food is delicious in just saddened that the portions lately have been frustratingly smaller than normal 🙄🙄.

We had two chicken bhunas tonight and the depth of flavour was superb. Proper big chunks of chicken too. Delicious. Love the Lancer.

Life changing good Indian food! I have yet to find another place that has as tasty of food as this place. It's just wholesome, no frills, good food! When we had to move homes, we actually brought up the fact we'd want to stay in Newmarket specifically so we could keep eating at the Lancer, haha. Service is great too--they've even started to memorize our favorite dishes.

Just had another excellent meal from the Lancer. Lovely food, great service. Best Indian for miles around, my favourite.

Tried to order takeaway last night - too much trouble for The Lancer staff to answer the phone and when I did get through (after several minutes / multiple calls) - they cut me off.Therefore took my business elsewhere - The Bengal Fox in Burwell - excellent takeaway and service-can recommend.

We had excellent hot Chicken Vindaloo and Lamb Tikka Masala. At £10.95 for 2 course meal is excellent value. Highly recommend

Staff are friendly and attentive. Food is ok, but not great. It was very bland to my taste, not very much spice or depth of flavour.

Made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble, the meals were prepared as we requested ( not too hot) service was excellent and we will be returning. Highly recommended.
