Turned up to the Shack had a wait time of about 30 minutes which isn't too bad considering it was peak time on father's day.It was also their opening day, but disappointingly didn't have a full drinks menu due to some delays with equipment being delivered and setup however alternatives were offered in place.Service was friendly, cheerful and available.Food wait times were comfortableThe food itself was delicious we had a round of butties and a couple of children's meals off the menu which they handled well, their pancakes arrived with condiments on a plate so they could decorate themselvesThe adult pancakes were divine, and were so lovely they beat us, so we will probably have to skip the butties next time...Thanks for the service and beautiful pancakes... now!

Very busy on Fathers day. It's a shame you can book but I imagine It would be fully booked alot! Nice food, the eggs were a little over cooked and I would have preferred the waffle on the side. But over all it was a very nice breakfast. The staff were friendly, helpful and timely. The pancakes and waffles were fluffy and delicious.

Service will improve, it was their grand opening day. After getting our food, we had a good Father’s Day! Thank you for a good time!

So close!First of all - love the vibe, and general design/aesthetic of the interior and the branding. It's a very fun feel. The American inspiration of places like iHOP comes in strong, and more so with the food. Love how friendly the staff are as well. The food serving amount can only be described as colossal, bordering on comical. You'll gasp when you see the massive fluffy pancakes coming towards your table after we've been so conditioned to flat and thin pancakes in Britain. Make no mistakes - that's good! And I'm VERY pleased to say the milkshakes are THICK, as they should be. 90% of the places I order milkshakes make them far too milky and runny - not so here. Top marks for those. That last missing star is a pretty important one. You've got great value for money here but it's missing the final 'pop'. I think that's the flavour of the food. The vanilla ice cream here - orderable in the milkshakes and with the pancakes - misses the mark sadly. The taste of it is too bland and slightly milky tasting. A switch to another brand might be helpful. I would recommend trying Five Guy's vanilla and caramel milkshakes as the gold standard in the UK or anywhere outside of Cold Stone's Creamery. The pancakes are missing something too I can't quite describe. It might be a lack of a butter topping (which is particularly nicely done at the aforementioned iHOP), or might be the maple syrup isn't potent enough. I'm not quite sure.Otherwise - great place! I will probably come back to try their savoury food, and then again in the future to see if their sweet offerings gain that extra pop of taste.

Great selection of waffles and pancakes, lovely atmosphere. Had been a busy non stop afternoon for the staff.Dropped one staff off as the waffle (whilst good) appeared to be reheated (temperature varied from one end to the other without ice cream near / touching), instead of fresh.

We really liked the atmosphere and restaurant was clean. Nice staff, very courteous. The food was ok. The fried eggs were cooked to my liking but way too salty. Waffles were nice but overly sweet ( in the picture you can see the sugar on top) plus the syrup, felt it was too much. Sausage was nice but bacon was way too salty. The orange juice was refreshing and good. And the cappuccino was good. Overall its was ok. I would allow customers to add salt and pepper to their liking instead.

We love the pancakes and waffles here they are YUM well worth the journey, lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff nothing is any trouble with special dietary needs or that fussy child lol. Only lost the star because they forgot our child's pancakes when it was part of child's meal and I think they were emptying drains or something when we left the smell after eating that food made me gag. 🤢Well worth the journey.

Waffles and ice creamPancakes and ice creamToastEnglish fry upThey do it all here and it tasted fabNot as expensive as a well known other desert chain, and in my opinion just as great.Just be prepared for a sugar rush afterwards 🤣Definitely going back there again

The menu was quite limited, but from somewhere called a pancake & waffle shack, it did do pizza, burgers and all day breakfast along with a fantastic array of toppings to beautiful waffles. I decided to go with the strawberry waffle and it was very generous, two waffles, two scoops of ice cream and a helping of whipped cream, with plenty of strawberries and a good drizzle of chocolate sauce. Delicious!I also had an Americano coffee, which was surprisingly good as well. The staff were friendly and attentive without being too much. A very good experience for a small diner on a relatively shall A road.
